When asked, "If you had a chance to do it all over again, would they still come to Dickinson College?", almost every student polled said they would do it in a heartbeat. On the whole, Dickinson is remembered by alumni as a place that provided some of the most incredible opportunities in their lives. The College serves as a starting point for not only career success, but for lifetime happiness, as well.

Students come to school here because they are serious about their futures. Academics are always the top priority and everything else comes second to classes and coursework. Thus, be prepared for Dickinson to push you to your limits academically. Dickinsonians are successful in and outside the classroom, and it is not uncommon for a student to play a sport, participate in a club, have an engaging internship, and still maintain their studying. In addition, you’ll learn to expand your social horizons and to indulge the international community through study abroad and a global education at home. Our motto is “Engage the World,” and nothing is more focused and concentrated on at Dickinson. A Dickinson College diploma is more than just a degree—it’s a way of life.

Can Think of a Few Other Ways to Spend $200,000 and 4 Years...

Alright, Dickinson does have a prestigious liberal arts reputation and was built in the 1700's with locally quarried stone. You can make great connections here. But let's be real this college is pathetic. The town is utterly dreary and depressing. There is no place here for a legit foodie btw. Very few legitimate parties and an embarrassing fraternity life. Bottom line: you can get the same quality education with a healthier feel in a more college-aged friendly town for less money... real talk. Last thing. Think hard on where you want to spend your college years my friend.

need a car or you're stuck in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania which is like the middle of nowhere America. If you think otherwise you should travel more dawg.

Good Campus Security Presence

You see campus security patrolling the grounds and surrounded streets constantly. They are very friendly as well. Poverty in Carlisle is pervasive and so there is a highly skilled security team. They are especially skilled at giving out MIPs and failing to catch the numerous sexual predators.
