So Tough – To make sure that you have everything in order before you get there.

Not So Good but Heart – We don't have the best sport teams, but we have some of the best school spirit that I have seen in a long time. The whole school comes out and support the team.

Williams Hall – The housing on campus was a little challenging. It had all of the freshmen girls housed in one place and the freshmen boys in another place, but has gotten better over the course of the year.

There are a lot of fast food options around, not too many healthy choices.

Repetitive food selections. Not very tasty meals. It just simply gets the job done.

Hopping into my Business major was made very simple. I was assigned an advisor and the sky was the limit from there!

Because of the location of Dillard, most off-campus housing is not very convenient. Most locations require you to have a vehicle or take public transportation. The school does not offer assistance in finding off campus housing.

You will find various types of guys and girls at Dillard. Most are African American from all walks of life. Most are friendly and willing to help if possible. Most of them are good looking.

The computers lab is relatively small. The wi-fi system is hard to access on certain computers.

First make sure your grades are good, that'll be the first thing people will look at if your trying to get an internship. Talk to your teachers regularly. Pay attention to the billboards around campus, don't just look at the picture, READ. We tend to have college fairs quite often, sometimes organized by the students. Become certified or volunteer with a company just so you can have some experience and you can standout from the rest.

We're in New Orleans, of course we have a good nightlife. But don't believe the hype, every party is going to be "The Best Party Ever", its college, so study first, party later. And as always a party is what you make it, if you're standing in the corner looking at everyone else you're not going to have fun. Get involved, know your limits, and don't be gullible.

I personally don't stay on campus. But the dorms & the apartments look wonderful & they are renovating the 2 other dorm buildings. Staying on-campus also means you have to get the meal plan. The internet connection could be better at times.

The good thing about Dillard is how close and friendly everybody is, we're like a big family. And because we are like family no one (be it Greek or Non-Greek) imposes there beliefs or viewpoints on to the next one. When Greeks "step" on Dillard campus it's ALWAYS fun to watch & see how they diss or mock the other Greeks. Very entertaining, but very down to earth.

My school does not have a football team, our basketball team sucks, and we have tennis courts but no tennis team.

Majority of the facilities at Dillard are up-to-date and high-tech. Since the campus is small, there are not many places to eat except in the library, cafe or at the Grill which is located below the cafe. The campus is very beautiful and student activity always happen in the middle of campus after class. The student center is a place where students hangout either in the game room or fitness center. Dillard sports's life is centered around girls/boys basketball, girls/boys track n field, cheerleading, and girls volleyball.

As a freshman, I didn't really use the transportation that much. But, when I did. It was fairly okay. They were always on time. The only problem was there were never enough drivers to get to the destination.

Living on campus is highly convenient for students like myself who are out of state. However, it can become quite tedious, especially when considering all of the stipulations that were recently made as a result of careless students behaviors. The dorms are actually quite spacious compared to other schools, and the cost is average; about $10,000 for room and board. The housing process was pretty simple.

My school's athletic program could definitely use some improvement. The only teams that are highly sponsored and recognized are basketball and volleyball. We have no football, baseball or soccer teams, but we do have dance, cheerleading, and track and field teams, all of which have decreased in size due to injuries from lack of proper equipment and training facilities. Our trainers tend to ignore any athlete that is not from basketball or volleyball and it has been addressed several times.

I've had no serious issues with the financial aid office at my university thus far, and I hope the smooth sailing continues.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
