A holistic, Christian worldview is at the core of Dordt's academics. Many students choose to go to Dordt for that reason. Overall, the professors are passionate about providing quality, Christian education to the students. With class sizes kept relatively small (around 25 students), you have the opportunity to really get to know your professors and classmates. The professors push for you to succeed, and they are more than willing to stick around after class and talk with you about whatever is on your mind, whether it's related to the class or not.
If professors are not available in person, they can easily be reached via e-mail. But e-mailing is a two-way street. Professors also use it to give assignments, so you have to check your Dordt e-mail at least once a day or you might miss something. Sometimes the workload can get overwhelming, but it really depends on what courses you take and what else you're involved in. Some majors are more demanding than others. Also, it depends on how many credits you take each semester. The average number of credits a student takes is 15. If you take more than 18.5 credits, you pay more.
