Advice on Financial Aid
Make sure you get good grades in high school because Dordt does offer some decent academic scholarships. The academic scholarship you are awarded as a freshman is renewed each year of college, unless your GPA drops below 3.0. There are a lot of scholarships offered to underclassmen. There are also more scholarships you can apply for as you advance in college, but they get more competitive. As an upperclassman, talk to your professors in your major-they might know of some scholarships outside of Dordt. Also, get to know your professors. Some scholarships require letters of recommendation from professors. Overall, be aware of scholarship deadlines and make sure to apply on time.
