All of the freshman dorms on campus are located in spots where it is easy to get to any class. It is very convenient to have the washers and dryers right in the lower levels of each dorm.

Most of the halls have recently been renovated and there is always an event going on in one or more halls every month. The halls are fairly closes to classes some are closer to certain buildings than others, but hey that's just life and zoning for ya.

The freshman dorms are newer and nicer than the sophmore dorms. The RA can hold some interesting events and peolpe can be friendly.

The freshmen dorms are really nice and were rennovated not too long ago. The freshman dorms are Carpenter, Stalnaker, Herriot, and Crawford. I personally didn't live in the dorms freshman year, but I had friends that loved it! I lived in Morehouse my freshman year and it was a great experience. The building is older and very charming. The rooms are much more unique and have higher ceilings. It isn't a freshman dorm, but mostly freshman live in it. It is a little separate from the freshman dorms but because of that, we really had a great community in the dorm. It wasn't a problem making friends in the other dorms. Jewett is similar to Morehouse in terms of age, and is for upperclassmen. Goodwin-Kirk is a great dorm where most of the sophomores live. Ross is another living option that is a bit more apartment-y.

Carpenter, Crawford, Herriot, and Stalknaker are the nicest dorms but they are strictly freshmen dorms. The rooms are a decent size for a college dorm room and the commons and study rooms are very nice and convenient. Goodwin-Kirk is the next best and it is for upperclassmen. It is like living with almost all the sophomores on campus. Jewett and Morehouse have high ceilings but other than that there is no advantage to these halls. Ross is apartment style living and is off campus so it is a little inconvenient but it gives you a taste of independence.
