The academics are really great at Drew. The tougher it is, the better of an education I receive. If I miss a class, I feel like I am behind because we learn so many new things each class, that I hate to miss just one.

The science department at Drew is wonderful. They have so many opportunities for students looking to pursue fields in the sciences and they are very helpful. It does get rigorous, but professors understand and recognize that and they are always there to help ease your concerns. We have a wide selection of courses with great professors who are very qualified in their fields. There are lots of opportunities to excel at Drew.

I am a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major and the work load is heavy and time consuming, but it pays off when taking exams because all the material comes from assignments. The science department is great at Drew because everyone is so willing to help, you just have to ask. Professors can be tough, but they are also fair. It's simple: Do the work, study hard and you will get good grades. If a professor see's that you are trying they will take that into account. There are many internship opportunities from the Morristown Medical Center Internship to DSSI Summer Research. Look out and apply for these. Be active and get to know your professor very well it helps in the long run.

I absolutely love my professors, my classes, my advisor, everything about the academics. I have learned so much at Drew and everyone is extremely friendly. If you ever have a problem, your professor is right there to help you. Of course, you have to go to them, they aren't going to search for you, but they are always readily available through e-mail if not during open office hours. I think the best part about Drew is that the class sizes are very small. I don't think I have been in a class with over 40 people. Our biggest lecture hall seats 60 and those are the intro science classes. All in all, I've loved it.

The academics at drew are fantastic. You have small class sizes, which allows the professors to actually know your name and help you with any problems you may have. There are also allot of specialty programs offered for a range of majors such as the semester on contemporary art, in which you go into the city twice a week and meet with curators, gallery owners and contemporary artists. There is also the UN semester and Wall Street semester. Drew's academic standing is really what makes the school wonderful.
