College Prowler Take
The Athletic Center has extensive facilities—there is a nice pool, a sophisticated weight room, and well-maintained basketball and squash courts. You can tell that some of the buildings desperately need some renovations and haven’t been kept up. Nevertheless, the DAC is a great place to work out, take a dip, or engage in some friendly competition on the court. It would be nice to have some more natural outdoor field space for sports, however. The Creese Center offers a lot, but delivers little. There really is nothing there but a few comfy chairs and some overpriced food. It’s a good place to talk, but a bad place to study, as it’s normally very busy and loud. The fireplace is nice in the winter, though. Downstairs in the Greenwalt Student Center, there are conference rooms and offices for Drexel student organizations. This area is not very aesthetically pleasing, but it is kept clean—except for the computer rooms, which have never worked. The game room down there is fun, with its pool tables and Xbox 360 tournaments. The Commuter Lounge at the opposite end, however, is simply a large, expensive television room with a bunch of cheap tables and chairs.
Ross Commons is fairly new and is fairly chic. This is a good place to hang out, as it’s good looking, spacious, offers good food, but is still rather “sleepy.” The rest of the buildings are not very good-looking inside or out, and the campus itself leaves something to be desired in the way of appearance. Although devoid of spirit (except in the spring), both the buildings and campus are well maintained.

The athletic center is nice as it...
The athletic center is nice as it is, and they're expanding it to be twice the size. Our sports fields (Vidas) are about 10 blocks from campus, which doesn't encourage students to attend outdoor games. The part of the library that has finished renovations is modern and up-to-date, and dare I say chic.

The athletic center is pretty nice. I spend a lot of time there, and it’s usually clean and nicely kept. The Student Center (Creese) is usually well kept. It’s is a cool place to hang out between classes because the food places are there and it’s nice and cool. |

Things are pretty clean. You get those people who feel the need to destroy pretty things, but overall, things are kept up well. |

The facilities are okay, if you’re a guy. Drexel doesn’t have enough women’s bathrooms, and no feminine product dispensers either. |

The facilities are a little lacking here. Since it is a city school, there are not many fields available. The facilities are nice, though, and are in good condition. |
Facts
Favorite Things To Do
Drexel shows a different movie each Friday night. The movies are current. They are out of theatres, but are not available for rent yet. Prices are cheap, too—it’s only $3 for students and $5 for non-students. Casino nights at the frats are very popular too. Pre-partying at someone’s house or apartment before going to Cav’s is very common.
Bar on Campus
- None, but we are in the middle of the city. There are plenty of bars less than a block from campus. Drexel is a dry campus.
Coffeehouse on Campus
- Creese Café
- Ross Commons
- Starbucks in the Pearlstein Business Building
