College Prowler Take
Philadelphia’s public transportation system is extensive. The subway is not as big as New York’s or Boston’s, but it’ll get you where you want to go, and can be just as effective when coupled with the SEPTA regional rail lines or buses. Drexel is in an ideal location to take advantage of Philly’s public transportation system. Its transportation system makes traveling around the city a whole lot easier as it is how people get downtown or out of the city. SEPTA is convenient, but it has been cutting back its service. We are within one to two blocks of a subway entrance both east and west of campus. 30th Street Station, which has Amtrak and SEPTA regional rail trains, is only two blocks away. Greyhound is also extremely close to campus as it is two miles away. There is a trolley stop on campus, and a taxi stand three blocks away. Bus stops are all over campus. You’ll be able to get anywhere you want, and you’ll learn all the routes in a snap. Prices for student transpasses are not that bad compared to what non-students pay. It really beats driving, and wasting time and energy trying to park.

Public transportation is a huge benefit Drexel can provide. 30th Street Station is ridiculously close and so is the subway. In addition, Drexel provides a free shuttle service to its students so that they can get into Center City.

Public transportation is standard...
Public transportation is standard for students. There's a subway stop right on campus, so a car isn't necessary to get around the city. 30th Street Station is only two blocks from campus, which can take you out of the city and into the suburbs. Drexel also has a shuttle for students starting in the afternoon and into the night. It can take a while to get where you want to go, but hey, it's free.

I love SEPTA! It's great for going into Center City to have dinner on the town or shopping with the gang. Just remember, if you go clubbing in Old City the train stops running at a certain time.

Transportation at Drexel
A
Transportation is quite good at Drexel. SEPTA is cheap and convenient; there's a stop on the trolley right in the middle of the campus. Also, Drexel has a shuttle service, but I've never used it so I can't say whether it's good or not.
