Not Enough Aid

Duke does not offer any merit scholarships. They give limited financial aid and almost every student is given work-study as a part of their package, which can be very ahrd to manage with the academic demands of Duke.

Need More!

We lost a lot of varsity recruits because the financial aid wasn't enough without an athletic scholarship. I got almost no financial aid and its really straining my family.

The Duke Undergraduate Financial Aid Office has committed to meeting 100 percent of demonstrated need for all families, and for household incomes under $60,000, the financial aid package will include no loans. So if you think there's no way your family could afford Duke tuition, you should probably think again. The financial aid budget is vast, and the office is committed to making Duke accessible to every able-minded applicant.
