There is never anywhere to park and they give tickets if you are a minute late in putting money in the meters.

Downtown Is Great! The best restaurants, in my opinion, are downtown. They're right around the corner from campus and they're affordable. My favorite is Chico's.

Apartments are easy to come by and they aren't very expensive. They are also close to campus. The apartment where I live is great and I'm able to park at a sister complex and walk to school.

Atmosphere of Greenville – Greenville has become were I live and work, so I see a lot of how the community is. There isn't much to do, just a tiny shopping mall that everyone complains about. There are lots of places to eat, though. Attitudes toward students tend to be positive, everyone here seems to be a Pirate fan.

I really have enjoyed to coming to East Carolina University. They have a very good art program with a variety of classes you can take. There are many fun school and events and clubs to participate in. The school has a lot of school spirit. You can always hear people saying "Purple" "Gold" especially at football games. I would do it all over again because of the good art program and the Christian organization.

Ways to Get Around – There are ways that students can get around. If you don't have a car, you can take the bus that is on a fixed schedule that get around to the stores and apartments that are nearby campus. If you have to go far and especially if it's at night, you can call Safe Ride to come and pick you up.

What Happens Past Midnight – Just when you think things would quiet down on a Tuesday at one in the morning, you hear someone shouting outside of your dorm whether it's the school colors or just something random. On a saturday, you can see girls dressed in very short dresses and wearing heels and make-up in groups leaving to go downtown to the bars and clubs and coming back who knows when.

Team Sprit – I didn't attend alot of games this school year, but if I wanted to I would have made sure I got my ticket in a timely manner. The football games were always sold out because the majority of ecu students went and supported the team.

Dining Halls – East Carolina has 3 places to dine on campus. I have not had the liberty to enjoy the food because I stay off campus. However, my classmates have told me that the food was affordable and great.

Popular Study Areas – East Carolina has wifi on campus and it makes it easier to access the internet if I am unable to get to a computer lab. They have several computer labs and the library has plenty of computers. Both the computer lab and libary are great areas to study. The computer lab that I always go to is very quiet and very peaceful and the libary has designated rooms for late night study or quick cramming.

Diversity is grade A at ECU. That is one thing that I really enjoy about attending this school. I get to work in close proximity with people from different backgrounds and cultures every day. Getting to know people who are different from yourself is a eye opening experience, and I am thankful that ECU has shown me this.

The off campus dining is nothing spectacular. It is what you would expect to find anywhere. Its aimed at college students so inexpensive, fast food dominates the area. There are a lot of franchise type restaurants near campus and that is mostly what students take advantage of. More variety would be nice, but i didn't expect it in the first place since Greemville is pretty small.

Health & Safety:
Could Be Better – Greenville, where my school is located, is a rather high crime area. I feel safe on campus just because there is safety in numbers and I try to have others around me when I am out and about around campus. There have been more reports of crimes than I feel is normal for a college campus, but most occur off campus (but still in student living quarters). The on campus police are more of a prop in my opinion, but I know they do what they can.

It's Perfect! For me I love fall like weather. Fall weather to me is sometimes chilly, but mostly sunny with a little breezy. My limited campus experience allowed me to get very comforable and appreciate eh lovely weather.

I have visited East Carolina, and I am going to attend this Fall of 2010. The attractions attracted me, and pulled me in. The shopping was also awesome and I did feel safe. If anything I felt just overjoyed and happy to be accepted to such a pplace. East Carolina gets a definite A.

I haven't seen any drug usage on campus.

Printing on Campus – The computer lab offers free printing on campus, however there is nowhere to print color (if needed). Sometimes the computer lab printer is jammed and that can be inconvient sometimes.

East Carolina is in the process of becoming a strictly pedestrial campus. There are however bus routes and commuter parking lots available. Buses arrive promptly every 5 minutes.

Variety of Greeks – There are a variety sororities and fraterities available on campus. Rush weeks are especially fun. Each organization has events on main campus, step shows, and informational tables.

Off-campus housing is excellent. There is a variety to accomadate the needs of every student. East Carolina also provides bus routes to take students to and from housing which saves on gas.

All regulations are very strictly enforced.

It's pretty strict. If you get caught with any drugs, you are kicked out of the dorm, and of ECU. Alcohol is a little less severe.

The campus police are pretty good at getting their jobs done. I feel like they should focus more on sexual assaults than the drinking underage. They seem to harp on that so much, and bad things happen to innocent people. The dorms are pretty good with their regulations and following through with consequences.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
