Crime in and Around Campus

There are muggings, both armed and unarmed, rapings and drunks all over the campus on the weekends. However, Monday through Friday campus is relatively quiet and reasonably safe. The police aren't much help though, they really make it a priority to issue as many tickets as possible, both drinking and parking. They're more of a nusance than anything productive.

Alcohol Is More Famous

ECU has a big reputation for being a party school. It is such a party school that the city police have to block cars from going down the streets where the clubs are during the weekend. Anybody can get access to alcohol.

Drinking on Campus

Mount Olive is a dry-campus, so drinking isn't allowed. Students aren't allowed to be intoxicated on campus either. Although there are rules to prevent this, it still happens on campus. Each student can have up to three alcohol violations, before asked to leave campus.
