They really don't give out that much financial aid. A lot of people cant afford school and this school expensive and we get no help. They would have more people if it were more financially manageable.

Health & Safety:
The school is so safe. My only concern is the lack of back up help in situations such as the storm this past winter.

I received a fair amount financial aid from my school, but it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. It was a hassle going from one financial aid advisor to another trying to get my financial aid together, but in the end it worked out. My advice would be to figure out what you need before you set up and appointment so everything works out for the best.

They only allow students who are 21+ to find off-campus housing. These students search for their own apartments and report to the school which apartment they are planning to stay in. Students who are under the age of 21+ and are found housing with a 21+ student living in off-campus housing there is a possibility that the under aged student could get kick out of the school.

My school is pretty strict with its rules about drinking and the use of drugs on campus. If you are caught the first time they give you a warning, the second time you have a meeting with the dean, and the third there is a possibility you could get kicked out of the school. Since it is a Christian based school there rules line up with their beliefs. They do try to get students involved in the various activities they have around the campus to keep the students out of trouble, but sometimes it gets boring to be on campus. My advice would be to keep yourself occupied and if you do get bored try to get off campus and do something fun.

The school itself is extremely beautiful; however, there is a bit of an issue with some of the facilities workers.

There is not enough parking. As a commuter student, It is very difficult to find parking in the commuter lot because teachers park in it due to the closeness of the lot to the buildings. Furthermore, the ticketing is inconsistent. 3 students and myself were told by a security officer that we do not have to pay tickets because they will be ripped up. This was true for some of us, however some were charged with all of the tickets.

ENC has a very diverse student population. There are people from all walks of live, believers, non-believers etc.

Commuter parking is ok. Sometimes the parking lot closer to classes is full so...

The atmosphere is peaceful. It's quiet and you don't have to worry about noise.

Housing is certainly adequate, though the buildings need to be updated. There is enough space, but the rooms are outdated. Reconstruction is necessary.

There could be a few other majors, such as Nursing, Physical Therapy, etc.
College Sophomore 2013-04-03T16:45:01Z
There are plenty of computers and they're kept in nice condition.

It's hard to really hang out with people on campus. There's not a lot of private areas to be and it's crowded in the limited areas on campus. It's nice that we don't have a lot of partying and alcohol/ drug problems on campus, but it's still hard to have alone time with a close friend or boyfriend.
College Sophomore 2013-04-03T16:41:14Z
Restrictions/ requirements for off-campus living are sometimes annoying and it's not always easy to get an apartment agreed through the school.

Sometimes things aren't fixed right away but staff is nice and things are kept up to date usually.

There is a shuttle to get to the other campus location, the T is a 10 - 15 minute walk away, and you can walk/bike to a lot of places.

Nothing spectacular. The people who work in the caf are amazing, but the food gets old fast. It is also hard if you have allergies.

There isn't really "nightlife" but there are some cool ways to connect with others through small groups, study sessions, sports games, clubs, etc. Some of my best memories were driving around town with friends who I'll have for life.

The public transportation is very convenient and cheap.

The school is pretty diverse for a private school. Different ethnic groups tend to separate themselves which is a downfall.
College Junior 2013-03-20T20:53:06Z
The drug scene at Eastern Nazarene is not significant, though there are students who struggle with habitual drug use. There are programs on campus geared toward helping those with drug problems break their addictions in a non-threatening manner.

The Athletic programs ENC offers tend to do quite well against the other schools in the region, but they're not the best.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
