Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Elizabeth City State University has become very diverse. There are people from extraordinary backgrounds that bring so much knowledge and personality to the University. There really isn't an average student at Elizabeth City State University. Many of the students don't even believe in being "average." The girls all have different attitudes and fierce personalities, while the guys vary from mellow to energetic. It is evident that many of the guys and girls are in fraternities and sororities; they all consider themselves family, supporting each other to the max.

The ratio of guys to girls happens to be a little uneven, with more women than men. However, if someone looked on the left and right side of the sidewalk while passing through ECSU, they would notice quite an even mixture of guys and girls, so the ratio is not very noticeable. Many girls have grown more used to having guys as best friends rather than boyfriends. The students at ECSU would rather be single throughout their college years than to have a boyfriend or girlfriend; well, at least that's what many of them say. Sometimes it is good for more freshmen to focus on their education rather than boys or girls when they first arrive to college. They will have plenty of time for all of that during their upperclassman years.
