Off-campus dining in the local area is very much affordable. The quality of the food is acceptable. While some fast food restaurants could provide better customer service, the fine dining restaurants are quite welcoming. Being that restaurants are within a five-mile radius of the school, this makes it very convenient for students if they need to grab a bite to eat. The restaurants that stay open 24 hours are also a plus to students because coming back from a party will surely spark hunger pains.

Though the food in Elizabeth City may be affordable, students are still not capable of continuously eating at these establishments. However, Elizabeth City keeps opening new restaurants, which makes it hard for students not to dine out. Overall, the food in the local area is very convenient for college students, and the people share kindness with many of the students. While the campus is expanding with different construction jobs, so is the city around the University.
