Elizabethtown College is quite a wonderful school if one can appreciate a smaller and more personal atmosphere. The faculty and staff at Etown really care and make great efforts to ensure students’ comfort and success. Most everyone is friendly, and the college just feels safe. Students don’t have to think twice about leaving a purse or expensive phone on the table in the cafeteria; they know that everyone will respect that property. That’s the type of community feeling that embodies what it’s like to live and learn at Elizabethtown College. It’s not 100 percent safe or nice, as every place has its problems with crime and drama, but the people at Etown put a lot of effort into making it the greatest college experience.
There is always something happening, some event or occasion that the College supports and funds in order to make the area not quite so dull. Etown realizes it’s not a party school, so it makes an effort to provide entertainment that the students will really enjoy—popular comedians, musicians, movie showings (with free popcorn), concerts, game nights, and more.
Most students would definitely come to Etown again if they had a second chance. They may get bored with the area at times, but a little boredom is a small price to pay for the level of care and commitment that the college is willing to put into their educations and future career successes. The smaller class sizes and qualified professors just make it easier to get the most out of your education. It’s pretty easy to have a sit-down talk with a professor or career counselor, and they are more than willing to provide links or phone numbers or connect students with some of their contacts. As long as you put effort into your education, they are more than willing to put effort into helping you.
