Within the beautiful brick walls that make up Elon University, there is a fascinating world of information and knowledge. To prospective students, Elon looks exactly like what it is—a university trying to create a name and reputation for itself, claiming awards like “most up and coming.” From a student’s standpoint, that image gets a little lost in the hectic schedule of going to classes, studying, having a job, getting involved in all areas on campus, and mostly trying to enjoy the college experience. However, we know that we are a part of something that will eventually be bigger than what we are now. The alumni connection is vastly improving, and the true quality of an Elon education is more apparent. When we graduate, our degrees will tell employers that we’ve been through some of the toughest challenges students face in today’s world and that we're trained and ready to take on more. That being said, the academics at Elon are very rigorous. Each year, the admissions standards get increasingly harder, and each class is more in-depth and challenging. Despite that, Elon is still a very small school. Classes are small enough that students can ask lots of questions, professors get to know names and faces, and there’s never such a huge crowd that you have to fight to see your professor during office hours. If you want to succeed, Elon is the place to go. The school provides students with tremendous opportunity; it’s really up to the student whether to make him or herself a leader or follower. The opportunity to be a leader is here at Elon.

My teachers are awesome. They all try their hardest to teach their students and help them whenever needed. My classes are really interesting. Each one allows you to open your eyes beyond what you read in the textbook and see how it applies in the real world. |

My professors here at Elon...
My professors here at Elon University are not what I thought they would be—they’re better. I can confidently say that ALL my professors love what they do, hold PhDs in their field, and are enthusiastic about each student understanding and learning all about that particular subject. Some students go to their professors’ office hours just to hang out or have a deep conversation. Every Tuesday from around 9:40 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. we have College Coffee, where students and faculty come together and casually socialize. It’s a big deal and many people go. |

The teachers are one in a million, so to speak. They offer a lot of wisdom and knowledge to us, as students. I would describe them as generous, devoted, and willing to give anything they can to help students achieve better standards and excel further than they thought possible. The classes are extremely interesting, if you take a class that was interesting to you to begin with. There are some teachers that can make a class particularly boring, but what class is not, at times? |

The teachers are, on the whole, fairly liberal. I didn’t have a single teacher who wasn’t accessible or concerned about our grades. Some of my classes are interesting, especially in my major at a more advanced and specific level. |
