College Prowler Take

This is college, so naturally there is going to be a certain population that chooses to use illegal drugs. However, this sort of thing isn’t at all prevalent at Elon. Room checks are regularly conducted by RAs, so if anyone has drug paraphernalia they are immediately written up; there are different levels of punishments for different infractions, but the university won’t go easy on those who break the law. On the whole you can be confident that Elon students are level-headed, sober, drug-free students. As far as drinking is concerned—yes, it occurs, but everyone’s pretty responsible. Students make it a point to have designated drivers, and if not there’s Safe Rides.

Students say they never feel pressure to drink or do drugs at Elon. In fact, many on campus choose not to drink at all. As mentioned earlier, students tend to be level-headed, so if you’re looking for a school where you can find people to hang out with and not feel pressured into drugs, Elon is definitely it.

There isn't much drug use on campus. It isn't a big thing at Elon, but this of course depends on who you hang out with. You will see some people smoking pot, but usually it's not a regular thing, just when people go out. People don't really smoke cigarettes either, and it will be rare to see this. Drinking is much more common on campus, and there are bars on campus so there is always something to do.

The drug scene is not that big, although it depends on who you hang out with. If people are doing drugs, they're usually just smoking pot. Drinking is a much more popular activity.

There are drugs but mostly a lot of weed, and depending on where you are, girls might have to watch their drinks for roofies. Every once in a while you will find some coke, X, and other party drugs, but drinking and smoking would be everyone's main choice.
