College Prowler Take
The typical Elon student is good looking, put together, and preppy; some look as if they’ve just come from a J.Crew catalog. Guys are attractive and clean-cut, often seen with button downs, khakis, and Sperrys. Girls are well-dressed and put-together, many wearing Lily Pulitzer dresses and carrying Longchamp or Vineyard Vines bags. The ratio is in favor of the men here, and the majority of girls are naturally pretty and fashion savvy. Occasionally, you will see students wearing sweatpants or clothes from the night before, but most students dress nice for class. Because of the incredible involvement on campus, it’s not uncommon to see students wearing suits or nice dresses throughout the day also in preparation for a job after class or an internship to get to. Greek students are not afraid to flaunt their letters whenever they’re given the chance, so t-shirts are popular as well. In the same respect, Elon is a close community, and while some judge their friends from their clothes and income, many students have the maturity and intuition to look past the materialism of it all. You never know what connection a student may have to your future, so don’t judge a person by their looks or clothing! Students Speak Out

The girls and guys here are very attractive. But sometimes the girls may come off as easy or snobby, with their bleach-blonde hair and layers of eye make-up. But that’s not to say you can’t find a very attractive person who is down-to-earth and sweet as can be. |

Elon is considered one of the best looking campuses for its grounds and its people. Greek life is huge so the people are really into that. And an important thing to remember is that there are more girls than guys, and the standard saying about guys is they are either gay, taken, or a player. |

The guys are alright; they seem a little overbearing on girls and they think they can get away with anything. The girls are very cool; but some can come across as easy by the way they carry themselves at parties and with guys. The guys are definitely hot. |

The guys at Elon are cool. However, most of them are taken, gay, or players. The single, nice guys are few and hard to find. Since girls make up over sixty percent of the student population, coming to Elon to find a boyfriend is probably not the best idea. |

Student Attire
A+
Elon students are always well-dressed. Girls are usually in nice, preppy attire for class. Not too many people wear sweatpants and roll out of bed for their classes. Guys vary, but a majority do wear nice clothing as well.

Social Scene
Students are very outgoing and ready to party on all days of the week. You can often find students at off-campus Greek houses and apartments, on-campus Greek houses, or one of the many bars on a Thursday night. Over-21 students have more variety, including local favorite Brown & Co., where students can use meal dollars to buy pitchers.
Hookups or Relationships?
Many freshmen who come to school with serious boyfriends or girlfriends often to find themselves single by springtime. Hookups are common, but by junior and senior year, many students settle down, and some even get engaged before leaving Elon.
Best Places to Meet Guys/Girls
At the bar on weeknights, otherwise at off-campus parties on the weekends or Greek mixers. Elon is a unique, close community, and often people meet a boyfriend or girlfriend through close friends.
