College Prowler Take
Elon students enjoy the experience of attending the school, but as with many things there are drawbacks. The community is small and quiet, and other schools are approximately a half hour away. But even though there are drawbacks, and students can sometimes feel like they wish they were somewhere else, they still can’t imagine being at anywhere else. Socially, there is a Greek scene, but students also throw parties in their houses and/or apartments. There is also an abundance of nightlife that is in Greensboro, which is only 20–30 minutes away and well worth the trip. The academic curriculum can be rigorous at times, but the professors are willing to help in any way that they can. Elon’s student body is great even though they can be a little difficult to deal with at times; there are not a lot of complaints about the University other than its diversity issues and the size of the town. But don’t be fooled by Elon’s size—it may not be for everyone, but life at Elon can be a great experience.

Like everyone else has said, I love Elon. There are so many opportunities, especially when it comes to study abroad programs (the winter term programs are fantastic), internships, and student research that I sometimes forget that I go to a small school. Elon is really climbing the college totem pole right now, and I think that my education is going to help me get into grad school and eventually secure a job.

I have had the best time in my life because of Elon. They provide opportunity, encouragement, and a starting path to a bachelor’s degree or master’s. I would not wish it to be anywhere else other than Elon. As a matter of fact, I wish there were an Elon in Maryland, so I could go to school closer to home without sacrificing the wonderful opportunities and pleasures I get from Elon University. |

I love it here. I’m becoming the person I’m meant to be and growing as an individual through the organizations and classes I take. My collective experience is amazing. From Greek to organizations to studying abroad, I know I will leave Elon with a strong sense of self and be equipped with what I need to live and function in our society. |

There is so much opportunity here as far as study abroad and internships. Besides, Elon’s reputation is growing. I’m glad to be a part of that. |
