Emmanuel is a great school and I love being only 30 minutes from home, but the cost is the biggest con....

Over the years the housing has improved, meaning we have built new dorms and more people have the opportunity to live in a college like housing option. The old dorms aren't fitting for living i feel like.

Health & Safety:
I really love the school and its location makes you feel safe no matter what time it is. Even though we dont have a party scene, i really love going to a school where i feel safe no matter what is going on.

nothing around the campus, and everything closes around 9 pm. We are close to two major colleges though, so with that sad we have to drive 45 minutes to "have fun".

This school has excellent programs and always somebody there if you need help and with the new dorms and gym this school is moving on up

For the most part classes aren't too hard, but it does matter who your teacher is. Most people, including my brother had a problem with one teacher. She basically failed one of her whole classes.

Emmanuel isn't really in the best place for night life, but you can always go to Clemson or UGA. Both schools are about 30- 45 mins away. Athens is where most of my friends and I went to.

GA weather can be a little crazy at times but it is mostly surprise rain showers that are the most annoying (I like to keep books in good enough shape to get some money back out of them).

Health & Safety:
First I will say that I am an adult student and not an average attendee/resident here. I will say also that the staff seems to be concerned with safety, well being, and a general balance of a healthy spirit.

Couldn't be happier with my choices here, only wish that I had started where I am now (and I could have).
I have very few concerns with finding a job, because I'm not counting on working for someone else- even though that is an option. The information and skills I am learning is, in my mind, a road-map to creating and maintaining a business of your own. I may also earn as a consultant/programmer for technology that going to be with us for a very long time. The only reason that I gave a A instead of A+ is that the Business dept. it seems is just getting started. However, the real world experience of my instructors, the challenges they provide and helpfulness more than makes up for whatever is lacking at this point. I am only in the second year, I do intend to achieve certifications (those who are in IS understand what I mean here) as well as my degree, but there is plenty of time for that.

There are many different Countries represented at EC. There are people from around the world, and many different States.

They are pretty strict on drugs.. if you get caught then you are gone...

Guys & Girls:
The guys are okay but I have a boy friends so I don't really pay too much attention. There are some good looking fellas though. The girls here are pretty but a majority of them are lesbians or in a relationship..
College Sophomore 2013-04-16T20:31:19Z
This campus is too strict when it comes to being in at late hours of the night. No partying and no drinking is allowed on the campus

I do not own a car for Emmanuel College but from what I can see there is enough parking for the students
College Sophomore 2013-04-06T19:41:59Z
Emmanuel College does offer a lot of scholarships, but you don't get too much. Plus, tuition is a lot.
College Sophomore 2013-04-06T19:38:37Z
I didn't really have any difficulties getting into my program. As long as you have a good GPA, then it's fairly easy to become a Phycology major.
College Sophomore 2013-04-06T19:33:49Z
I have only just recently changed my major to psychology, so I can't tell much about my program, but I have talked to people who love it.
College Sophomore 2013-04-06T19:30:12Z
I recently changed my major, so I can't really answer this question yet.
College Sophomore 2013-04-06T19:16:21Z
I have never done an internship, or anything related to my major.
College Junior 2013-03-26T01:20:30Z
the drug scene at Emmanuel College is not really big, but it depends who you hang out with, the most common thing is alcohol and smoking and mostly athletes
College Junior 2013-03-26T01:16:52Z
most of the computers are slow. During the morning they are usually crowded and cant find a spot.
College Sophomore 2013-03-10T14:30:14Z
Lots of hypocrites, preaching about drug use, but then turn around and be the main one using.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
