A few years back, Emory decked out all of its eating halls, libraries, and academic buildings with Mac desktops. Free access to all, but no stealing music from them (my friend got himself in a bit of a bind for that one..)

Guys & Girls:
As is at almost every other highly academic institution, you'll find the good and the bad. Last year, I was a bit disappointed in the girls here but thank you Prez Wagner, this new freshman class is bumpin'. At Emory many of the girls would agree that the guys are very attractive, however until this year most guys would have hours-on-end conversations about whether there were under ten or under twenty girls that could be considered above an 8.

Emory prides itself on its diversity. In the past year I have made friends from over 20 different countries worldwide.. its cool knowing that wherever you go, you have a home and a friend to hang out with.

We have a large athletic center right across from the DUC (main cafeteria). Our sports teams are D3 but we often face D1 schools in competitions because of our talented athletes. We have a very green campus and are very proud of it. Wonderful Wednesday's are GREAT!! There's usually free food, activities (like a mechanical bull or animals to play with), and people to meet up with. We have a great social environment!!

Our school is in the top 20 for best schools in the nation, but it isn't that well known. We have a smaller campus, which is great because you have a lot of friends but there are still always new people to meet. Our business school, medical school, and creative writing programs are all among the top 10 in the nation. High class education, tons of fun clubs, and lots of accepting, sweet people.
P.S. - Learn about Wonderful Wednesday's...they're FANTASTIC!!

We get students from every corner of the world. It's not uncommon to hear kids speaking in different languages on campus or trying to learn English. But everyone is very accepting of different cultural backgrounds.

The main food joint is the DUC, and as a part of tuition freshmen get unlimited meal swipes. The food is improved from last year and keeps getting better, but nothing beats good old cooking at home. There are other restaurants in the area, but they usually charge (using your EmoryCard).

Guys & Girls:
Smart, driven students with a lot to offer the university and the world. Look-wise, you've got all types.

Atlanta is a hugely diverse city- there is so much to do and so many different types of people to meet. You've got a great community of young professionals who are doing exciting things with their lives, so it's a great place to meet passionate, engaged people in their early to late 20s. Only reason for the A instead of an A+ is that the transport situation is difficult if you don't have a car and are relying on public transit. It's doable but MARTA has its issues.

There are a lot of great off-campus housing options that are closeby and often much more affordable than living on campus. However, there aren't many off campus housing options that are walking distance. Students likely need a car to live off campus, but not always. Many juniors and seniors live off campus in townhouses or apartments of 3-4 students.

Parking is expensive and often quite annoying. The parking deck that you are assigned often is very far away from where classes are. Parking passes cost around $700/year and, in my opinion, aren't worth purchasing.

Freshman Dorms and Sustainability – Overall, I enjoyed my freshman dorm experience. Our freshman dorms are the best as they are the newer ones and are living learning communities. I lived in the sustainability themed dorm and have definitely improved my lifestyle.

The rules are pretty strict but often they only prohibit you from doing things that would cause you or other people harm. They are good about keeping the campus safe and students protected.

Emory University offers a lot of great majors too choose from, and almost as many minors. The faculty for each major are also really involved into your education, so no matter what major you have a supportive team behind you.

It's right in Atlanta, which is known for their different and good quality dining options.

Emory Law is one of the best law schools in the country. The work is challenging. I feel lucky to be in the program here.

There are many reasonably priced options, lots of variety and not too pricey

Declaring your major at Emory is relatively easy, but the challenge is switching majors. They require you to go to each department within and fill out tons of forms.

It was really cold this winter, for Georgia at least, but the campus is quite small so walking to classes wasn't much of a difficulty. It never snowed and classes were never cancelled.

There were a lot of events for freshman to see the clubs and activities the school had to offer. Every Wednesday there would be activities in Asbury Circle for clubs and organizations to get in touch with students.

There are very good volunteer organizations on campus.

My freshman dorm was very good, however, others were shabby, old, and gross.

I did not drive to school so parking has never been an issue for me.

I received much less financial aid than expected this year. My expected family contribution increased by $12,000 and my financial aid adviser was hard to get in touch with and extremely unhelpful.

Emory is really close to Atlanta, so it's easy to get into fun nightlife activities.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
