Amazing Professor – I applied to Emory University for its small campus, Oxford College. My freshman year at Oxford College was amazing. I met Dr.Herman who has been an influential role in my decision to continue working as chemistry lab assistant and learn more about Chemistry from its molecular to the sub atomic view. I absolutely love it here.

Apply Early – I've found that the earlier you fill out the FAFSA and other forms the sooner you get aid, and you possibly can get more than if you wait. The only way to get Merit based aid is to have extremely high test scores, so make sure you've taken the SAT for the last time before financial aid deadlines. If you need Need-based aid, you will get it, just maybe not quite as much as necessary unless you qualify for the Emory Advantage scholarship.

If you want to eat off-campus there are plenty of great options in Atlanta that are only a short drive or Marta ride away. Unfortunately if you don't have a car and don't feel like waiting on the Marta then you're pretty much limited to Emory Village restaurants. However, there are some great ones there: Rise-n-Dine is one of the best breakfast restaurants I have ever been to, but get there early, there's always a line on the weekends; Dave's Cosmic Subs is great if you want a sandwich; and Yogli Mogli is great for dessert.

Pre-Med Is Difficult but Doable – When you first get to Emory and begin asking people what they're majoring in you soon realize that most are either on the Pre-Med, Pre-Business, or Pre-Law track with only a few intending to go into other areas. This makes the classes required to be Pre-Med rather competitive. However, with Emory's small class sizes it is still possible to get to know your professors and TAs and make it through the entry level classes with their assistance.

Policies Are Fair – The policies on campus seem to be protective but not overly constricting. However, they are very strict about underaged drinking which is highly understandable.

I love the student cafeteria. It's comfortable and roomy. The gym facilities are clean and look state of the art. Majority of the dorms are comfortable, brightly lighted and clean.

Don't Really Know – The Greek life doesn't really intersect with my campus experience although I have friends who are pledges.

Guys & Girls:
Cute Chicks – The people on campus are very suburban in style. The girls are good looking and well dressed.

Decent but Not Prideful – We have a lot of students that work out and go to the gym but our school pride stinks because we are division III, plus we don't have a football team.

The dining hall has food that is not cooked properly and the selection has no variety at all. Places around the school are too far for walking and thus you need a car. Overall, I have trouble finding food that satisfies me.

Challenging Environment – I came to Emory University because it offers a top-20 college experience by providing knowledgeable professors, peer-tutoring, small class size, office hours, and a challenging course load.

Emory is extremely up to date on technology. The wifi is everywhere on campus. It is a bit spotty in a few buildings, but with most its great. Printing on campus can be done in multiple locations with affordable pricing. Having your own printer would be nice for convenience though. It would definitely help to have your own computer. however, Cox Hall rents laptops out for two week spans so if you didn't have one I'm sure you could use those along with the hundreds of computers in the libraries and Cox Hall. Every building has at least 2 computers at their entrance for students to check their LearnLink.

Anthropology and Human Biology Is Great – Great advisors. he staff are the top in their fields. Emory has a great connection with the Jimmy Carter Center. Jimmy Carter even comes into a class each semester to speak. There are several opportunities for undergraduate research with faculty. The Global health Minor is incredibly interesting as well.

Health & Safety:
Safe and Secure – Emory provides many outlets that provide protection from outside crime and many civil threats. The only protection not provided is due to negligence on our parts for not lockinng our doors.

A Plethora Od Oppurtunity – The campus and the surrounding places offers so many oppurtunities that not only advance your college-based learning but provide helpful experience preparing you for the social part of any work environment.

Although located in the middle of nowhere, free shuttles from our campus transport us to a MARTA station, the mall, and the Atlanta campus. Beyond this, for group organizations on campus there are vans provided that can be rented out. If you need to go anywhere else there are options to rent cars on campus that are very cheap and accessible, allowing you to go wherever.

While currently Oxford offers enough spaces to satisfy student's needs, they plan on reducing the number in order to expand the quadrangle and science building. Currently, it is very convenient and located close to all the dorms so there is not worrying about safety issues even late at night.

It's brilliant, and that comes straight from my heart. Its got great programs, and faculty-student ratios, especially at Oxford College of Emory University. There's a good balance between social life and academics, and though it can be hard at times, it's easy to find the perfect balance. If I could choose again, I would still choose Emory.

Drugs and Alcohol Visibility – The drinking scene at Emory University, more so at the main campus, is rather big. Come Saturday night, alcohol flows throughout the campus fraternities. This is less so at Oxford College of Emory University, where it really depends on who you hang out with. Smkoing is a problem, and a really visible one at that, but come Fall 2011, smoking will be strictly limited. The drug scene isn't that big, but nowadays, you can find it in any university.

The dorms at Emory University aren't top of the line, but are varied. It is the people in them that make it great. The dorms at the centre of campus are the best, especially at Oxford College of Emory University. Newer dorms tend to be louder, but with larger rooms, while older ones tend to be in better locations and quieter. There's usually something for everyone. The main thing is to stay on top of residential life. If you forget to check-out at the specific times, you could face some serious consequences.

we have one of the best anthropology department in American with the world renowned professors including Dr. Peter Brown and Dr. Ozawa. Almost 100% of the professors at Emory are full faculty who are accessible and easy to talk to.

If you have roommates, off-campus options are cheaper than on-campus housing.
