Animation is a wonderful subject and I learned so much from all of my amazing teachers. The only problem with Ex'pression is the over pricing and lying.

The online teachers suck and think that their class is the most important thing in the world. They also have terrible communication skills
College Senior 2013-10-08T21:05:12Z
I havent graduated yet so I'm not sure how their job placement will be
College Senior 2013-10-08T21:04:25Z
All they want is money. The teachers are usually under payed and angry. I wish the school wasn't so focused on waisting my money on other programs rather than using certain programs money for their program. Everything has gone to the other campus which is completely failing and I feel like my money has been stollen. Not to mention they said I would be receiving a Bachelors of Science but instead I will be receiving a Bachelors of Applied Science which is a lower degree. I am very upset that I went to this school and I wish I would have gone elsewhere. Now I am stuck with debt and the promise of a job that never came.

Sometimes I wished the teachers were more available to the students.

Its a wonderful experience, sort of like the real world because they grade your work ethics too.
College Junior 2013-09-10T21:44:34Z
I think its based on the determination of the student.

I find that there are not conveniences at school. I feel that the conveniences are for the teachers, I have gone to school with no car only to find out that a class has been canceled after being dropped off or catching public transportation. It is sometimes hard to get explanations or help from teachers i am expected to find someone in class to help if I don't get it or get lost with no understanding. I have alot of love for the school it's just sometimes a problem with different personalities conflicting, just because there are teachers there are problems with I still believe in my school and look forward to graduation.

I am a freshman at Ex'pression and so far the course material is all fantastic. I love MSV so far and the people I've met and hung out with have all been super cool. I feel like I belong here, and the older students I've talked to have all been really helpful in giving advice from their experiences. The professors are eager to give real-world advice and encourage their students to push themselves in exactly the ways they ought to in order to pursue a career. Not to mention they all really know their stuff! I am loving the academics and everything so far, and the environment is hella conducive to a positive learning experience.

Don't get me wrong the teachers are great, however i feel that scheduling should be more flexible. Every term each student is given classes that are already scheduled and this makes it hard for some of us that have to work on the side as well. This school is small and there are not that many teachers because lately they have been getting laid off. The school is definitely shrinking. I have learned so much from all my teachers and i am glad that i am still here after one full year. But as time progresses financially it has become harder. If you have close to 100,000 dollars in your bank account you will have no problem attending this school. But for most of us we are trying to find as many scholarships as possible and are working our butts off! If teachers weren't being let go and money wasn't bringing me down inside i would give Expressions an A+.

The campus in its entirety inspires creativity, from the brightly colored walls to the abstract architecture. The building is a bit difficult to navigate at first, but it becomes manageable once you have more destinations to seek out. Some resources in the classrooms are below average, such as the equipment in the fine arts department. But computer specs and software are always up to date.
College Junior 2013-03-20T22:27:32Z
It's very easy to get in touch with the registrars to alter our schedules so they work for us better. The school is very understanding of us and allows studens to take a couple quarters off for vacation of family emergencies.
College Junior 2013-03-20T22:11:57Z
The program we use for our online classes is easy to understand and the teachers for our different subjects gets back to us really fast. The assignments are nicely listed out and there is a calendar that shows when things are due so nobody can get mixed up.

There are several labs all around the school, some of them are even open 24/7 in order to give students access to them at all hours. Many students do use them even at 3am to work on projects for class and for on their own projects. The network is easily accessible as are all the programs. Tech support is usually always available right away to help with any problems we might face
College Senior 2013-03-07T01:21:39Z
Most of the staff is very knowledgable, and easy to work with. I find that sometimes I don't get along with them due to personality clash, but this is not detrimental to the education they provide.

I don't think it will be too difficult to find a job in my given field after school. The ICS at this school does host functions and does a decent job at that. I have not had too much direct experience looking for work as I am only second year however. They are friendly.
College Senior 2013-03-07T01:17:41Z
All of my classes are directly related to my major, which is nice. If you have never used these programs before (ex. Adobe suite) then you will be challenged. Early on (I'm second year currently) you may not be particularly challenged if you already are familiar with these programs.

The campus has an extremely modern/hip look to it and is always very clean. There is no gym due to the fact that we are a digital school and physical education is not required. The library isn't huge by any means, but is still a wealth of information. The cafeteria once again isn't huge, but it doesn't have to be by any means. They have a small cafe and multiple vending machines and is always a good place to relax.
College Senior 2013-01-22T20:05:53Z
The campus is full of resources and is extremely high tech. They have top of the line equipment in sound boards, computers, and all the newest music programs that you can think of. You can basically walk into any room and find some computers that you can easily log into. The schools wifi can be a little bit inconsistent but judging by how many people are on it, its not that big of a deal.
College Senior 2013-01-22T19:48:17Z
Online classes at Ex'Pression are not all that great, they are actually pretty bad to be one hundred percent honest. I can honestly say that I have not learned one thing through these online classes. They are not formatted very well, the work is not challenging, and I feel like the majority of the teachers do not really care or do not really push their students as far as they can. The only good thing I can say about the online classes is that I do not have to attend any of these classes in person.
College Senior 2012-12-06T22:48:07Z
They were easy, just do the work and you will be fine. Sometimes it seems like a big load, but it's rarely ever a difficult load. So just do it, get it over with and be done!
College Senior 2012-12-06T22:46:25Z
A lot ethnic and background diversity... Very little gender diversity. Mostly all guys here at this school. I've never had any issues with acceptance issues, or prejudices. Like I said before, you tend to get pretty close with other students, because of smaller class sizes and lots of shared classes.
College Senior 2012-12-06T22:44:34Z
Lots and lots of computers made available to visual students. I can walk into pretty much any classroom that I have taken a class in, and use the computers inside. I would highly recommend getting a portable hard drive, but that's a general life recommendation! Wireless access throughout the school too. Only complains surround updating the software often, sometimes leading to down times. Prices paid for new Adobe CS6.
College Senior 2012-12-06T22:42:23Z
There isn't a huge social scene, but from my perspective (as a motion graphics major) you tend to build a pretty solid group for your graduating class. Smaller class sizes for the visual arts helps to build a community feel. You really get to know those in your classes, and quiet often end up carpooling or sharing rides. The OSA hosts a good amount of events as well, from breakfasts to having professionals come in and speak. Live music shows too!
College Senior 2012-12-06T22:39:18Z
The computer resources made available to students are pretty top notch, with the software regularly being updated. The green screen and motion capture areas are pretty cool as well. The school will host live music as well, in a pretty intimate venue. No gym, and a pretty small campus compared to more general education schools (UC's and such). A very directed program that they run, almost like a trade school for the digital arts. Not your normal college, and I like it for that.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
