The College at Florham’s campus was once the old Vanderbilt estate. This can be seen in Hennessy Hall, commonly referred to as "the Mansion," which was once the living quarters for the family. There are also large steps leading up to the recreation center, which were designed to allow horses to travel easily on them. The grounds are stunning, and the staff makes sure that they take very good care of everything. The large lawns are well-kept, and the groundskeepers are always out making sure the campus stays as beautiful as possible.
Because it is a smaller campus, there is only one student center and one library. The library is an older building, but it has plenty of room for students to study or to get work done. There is also a computer lab inside the library that many students use to print out assignments. With plans to replace the old library with a new one, Fairleigh Dickinson is constantly updating the academic buildings on campus, but it does not do the same for its residential buildings. As such, the residence halls are off to one side of campus, while the rest is well maintained and updated.
