There is anything that you could want within 5 - 10 minutes or less for food. The school sometimes has discounts or coupons that they will give out for certain places.

I am only doing a one-year Bible program at FBBC, and so far, I have enjoyed my experience . My professors are very smart in what they teach, and I feel like I have grown exceedingly since I've been here.

Ankeny has many varietys for off-campus dining. I love going to Taco Johns and Starbucks. At Starbucks we sit and do homework and sip on a nice toasty cup of chai tea. Taco Johns gives lots of coupons and they all know my name there!

I wanted to get a good solid Biblical foundation before heading off into the real world, so I decided to go to Faith Baptist Bible college. The have been flexible with my needs as far as education, and I have learned so much.

Nighlife...What's That – Again, it's all about what you're used to. Faith has a set curfew, so nightlife is anything that happens before 11 during the week or 12 on Fridays. Not a whole lot of call for nightlife activity, but we like it that way.

Winter Is the Worst – For the most part, the weather at Faith is typically of Iowa...indecisive. However, the winter months can be beastly. The wind whips across campus like a crazy man, making the cold and snow that much worse. If we could cut out the month of November-March, the weather would be amazing.

All Dorms Are Created Equal...For the Most Part – Faith only has four dorms; two apartment style and two residence hall style. Freshmen get assigned dorms, and eveyone else can request their dorm. Male and female dorms are all seperate; there are no co-ed dorms...which I'm totally fine with.

Greek life is non-existant at Faith Baptist Bible College.

We're Baptist and We Know It – According to your standards, Faith would fall flat on its face in this category. It's a Baptist school, so we're not really open to, say Catholics or Hindus. We stand up for the truths of the Bible, so we aren't accepting of homosexuals or people that stand up for abortion. Again, don't get me wrong, we're not one of those "God hates the gays" school. We know and understand that God wants us to love everyone, we're just not to support thier worldly lifestyles. As far as diversity, I think we have about 10 students all together that grew up in a foreign country, and most of them are missionary students or are Canadian. So, while according to all of your standards we'd fail in this category, I'm proud to attend a Baptist school that backs everything that I stand for and believe.

An Abundance of Work – I really enjoy being at Bible college, don't get me wrong, but EVERYONE at Faith is required to get a minor in Bible. This adds a LOT of work to our four years. The extra work of Bible classes aside, I really enjoy my professors, the classes...everything. We have newer recources to use such as Mimeo boards, the library has great materials for my program, and it sounds like student teaching shouldn't be a hassel.

I don't know if it's just the way that it goes when dealing with large sums of money and students having to take out loans or what, but the people in financial aid can come across as mean at first. Once you get to know them, they're actually very kind people. I'm not sure if it's to office or the topic, their very business-like look, or what that makes people scared of them. You just need to take time to get to know them. Be kind and polite to them, and you will find that the people in financail aid are actually very nice and helpful. Don't feel shy to walk in and ask questions, even if they seem really dumb.

Student Center Is Sufficient – The student centere is comfortable enough. The TV is brand new as of this year. The look of the center is modern enough, and there is a coffee shop right in the center. This is very convenient. The one problem with the student center: it's usually the quietest place on campus unless there is a scheduled event going on or we have a visitors' weekend.

The Dorms and Apartments Are Amazing!! The dorms and apartments at Faith Baptist Bible College are fully furnished and have easy-to-operate heat and air conditioning. The dorm rooms are kind of small, but quaint. They are absolutely amazing!!!! You have to come visit in order to know it first hand.

Different Student Ministries – At Faith, there are several different student ministries that go on. You can get involved in student missionary fellowship, SOS, and others. SMF is a wonderful ministry for students to learn more about missions and to be praying for the missionaries that the churches in the area support.
Activities are fruitful at times and lacking at others. Several times a year they have FAB Fridays-FAB standing for fight against boredom. The Student Association plans activities to help students do something since campus is practically dead.

Small School With Many Opportunities. I love Faith. It is small enough that you get to know lots of people, but big enough that by the end of the school year, there are still people you don't know. The professors are wonderful and are willing to help you succeed. I personally have had a good experience here and will miss all my friends that I have meet this school year over the summer.

Marginally Scary – It's not generally too hard to find a parking spot on campus. Some times it can become difficult, though. Also, I worry about security with the parking. We're "required" to have parking permits, but only about half of the students actually do. This doesn't make me feel very safe. Also, one time, I had to borrow a vehicle from my parents while mine was getting fixed. I called security to let them know, and they really didn't seem to care. They didn't ask for the plate nubmer or anything.

Again, It's Limited – The food that they serve on campus isn't bad, there just doesn't seem to be a whole lot of variety. If they serve Chinese on Tuesday, you can almost guarentee that they will serve Chinese again on Thursday. I think that they have a lot of different options, they just put all of the ones that are similar too close together.
College Junior 2011-12-30T03:01:29Z
Limited Options – I realize that FBBC is a small school, and I' have come to love my professors dearly, but FBBC offers a small variety of programs. I know this is a problem with small, private schools, but unless you want to be a teacher or go into the ministry, they really don't offer a whole lot.

As a conservative Christian College there is no "nightlife" on campus.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
