Transferring Credits In & Out
If you're thinking of transferring to FIDM, ask for a Transfer Evaluation to be done. General studies classes transfer easily, and specialized classes will have to be evaluated on an individual basis. Various colleges have agreements to accept credits from FIDM for students who are transferring out. If there's a college you have in mind, check with an advisor at FIDM. Transferring a completed degree does not present a difficulty because of FIDM's accreditation.
Work & Life Experience Credits
Students can earn credit for internships as long as they do it in one of the later quarters of their program. A student should talk to their student advisor on the requirements and restrictions.
Typical Session Length
The courses last 10 weeks, making up one quarter. You meet with each class once a week for a three-hour class. Some are six-hour classes because they require a lab.
Course Registration Process
For their first quarter, students schedule their classes through their advisor. After the first quarter, students register online through the FIDM Portal.
