College Prowler Take
FIT might be a fashion-based school and pretty liberal when it comes to art, the gay community, and other issues, but they are very strict when it comes to drinking or drugs on campus. Students who are caught violating these rules are sometimes never seen on campus again. The school has had no problem with expelling students for breaking the rules.
The major issues that dorm residents have with campus strictness are the rules on how many visitors they can have at one time and the amount of sleepovers per week. It seems ridiculous to most, but the dorm residents can only have two overnight visitors per week. Every time a guest comes over, they must be signed in with security. If a dorm resident violates these rules, they will end up losing their visitor privileges altogether. The campus is strict, but students here have accepted it because of the school’s prime location in New York City. If you play by the rules, you will never get in trouble here at FIT.
