Advice

  • Finding a job or internship at FIT can actually be quite easy. Networking and making connections on your own can be key to finding the perfect position, but Career Services is also a vital tool. Career Services at FIT provides students and alumni with help to prepare them for today’s competitive marketplace. There are career counselors available to assist with career development, from writing a résumé to setting career goals to helping students or alumni land a job. Throughout the school year, there are many career programs planned to help students with job searches. They include on-campus recruitment, job fairs, career days, and seminars. Finally, remember to network! To break it down, it is essentially what you do almost everyday. You meet someone and talk to them. You exchange information with them. The real goal here now is to keep in contact with the people you meet, because you never know where they will be in life five years down the road. They may even have a job for you one day! Many FIT students have landed jobs by simply just networking.
