College Prowler Take
FIT is located in Chelsea, one of Manhattan’s most fashionable and trendy neighborhoods. The neighborhood itself is the historic center for the fashion and apparel industries in the United States. The school’s prime location is one of its best attributes. With Manhattan as FIT’s local atmosphere, most students agree: who needs an actual school campus when Manhattan is FIT’s campus?
Perhaps the best thing about New York City is that it can be many things to many different people. You can be a loner or a partier, and you will still fit in. It can be an overwhelming environment at first—millions of people shuffling back and forth to work, tourists everywhere taking pictures, movies being filmed, the homeless sleeping on sidewalks—but the experience here is unparalleled. Whether you love it for the business or the hustle, the history or the humanity, the culture or the challenges, New York City has something to offer everyone.

There Are Many Places to Visit and So Many Attractions to See.
A+
The school is great for students who intend to pursue a career in Fashion. You can visit the Flower Industry right across the street or if you feel like walking you can visit the wonderful Macy's in 34Th street or the attractable and eye caching Central Park on 59th St.

Parsons is the FIT rival, but you don’t interact on a daily basis with them. You could go down to NYU, but the students there are either snotty or have a frat mentality. Visit whatever floats your boat. It’s all here. |

New York City is all about energy....
New York City is all about energy. Basically, since so much is going on, no one is going to notice you if you trip on the sidewalk, or if you turn around a few times to figure out what direction you need to walk in. Most people mind their own business. Although, in the last few years, it has gotten a little friendlier—a sense that we are all in this together. |
