I do enjoy my program for the most part. I do feel as though some classes are repetitive though. This leads me to say sometimes I felt as though the amount of classes required during a semester was too much, especially when some were repetitive. The facilities are good, the computers are updated with the latest programs. Internship opportunities was also helpful, I got my first internship with help from the school.

I am happy with my program and feel like I'm learning and have learned a lot over the past 3 years. I would do it all over and I hope to find a career in the field as soon as I graduate. What concerns me the most about trying to find a job is that I do not have much experience with web design and other digital media. The school should work on incorporating more digital classes into the curriculum because that is where the industry is going.

The Process of getting into the graphic design program was pretty tedious but it made getting accepted more rewarding and worth it.

Overall, the Advertising and Marketing Communications program is a great department to be enrolled in. The professors are highly immersed in various fields of communication/marketing/advertising, and they are helpful in providing sufficient insight about the industry. They really do know what they are talking about, which helps many students decide if the field of study is the right one for them. I personally would do it all over again within this department because I gained an understanding in numerous areas including, advertising, public relations, journalism, market research, creative design, etc. My career goal is to work as an event planner or public relations specialist within the sports industry or for a non-profit organization that's close to my heart. This school looks great on a resume, as it is well-renowned and has a reputable name within NYC.

The admissions process from high school into the college is pretty smooth and easy. Although they require a high GPA (around 3.9), the school is not harsh about SAT/ACT scores. I did not encounter any challenges getting into the school, but the transfer process that I am going through now, is extremely difficult. If you are looking to transfer to another school from this one, barely any credits transfer. Also, the admissions office is not very helpful.
