Ferrum has a variety of restaurants and different mixes of cultural backgrounds. They have your regular fast food places like McDonalds and more cultured places like Hemas, which is an Indian dine in. Roanoke, which is about 30 minutes away, is the big city with clubs, festivals, bars, etc. Ferrum deserves an A for its local atmosphere.

Though Franklin Co. is a small town, they have big heart and pride in their community and anyone who enters it. I can honestly say I have never felt so loved and welcome by complete strangers until I went to Ferrum. Here you're treated like your a brother, sister, cousin, you're basically family the second you enter into Franklin Co.

Ferrum is a small and isolated campus and there is not that many things to do off campus unless you end up driving to Roanoke or to other schools. The food is a 50/50 chance but their are places off campus to eat. The campus life is pretty okay if the weather is nice outside and there are things going on. Overall you just have to be into the campus to want to stay and do things. Also you should be pretty willing to do a lot of things to have fun.

Ferrum has really pretty scenery, so if you appreciate the art of it then you will love it. The school is sort of in the middle of nowhere, so it doesn't really have anything to offer. On the bright side Roanoke, Radford, Virginia Tech and Winston-Salem aren't too far away so we often visit those places. It's basically what you make it. if you stay on campus you can look forward to parties in the panthers den on Thursdays, Trollville on Fridays, and OXE on Saturdays.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
