Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

At first glance, students might get the wrong impression that all Tallahassee has to offer is repetitive fast food places. But, if they look past all the McDonald’s, Burger Kings, and chicken spots, there are some hidden gems. There is a lot of variety in the restaurants here, so no matter what kind of food you are craving, you should be able to find an affordable option. Tallahassee dining includes European, Italian, Asian, Mexican, American, seafood, vegetarian, soul food, and delis, among others. Plus, there are all the fast food chains, which are close to the school.

On the other hand, kosher and vegetarian options are not that common. Tallahassee has about three restaurants that cater to non-meat eaters, but the city does have many alternative markets where students can purchase food to create their own meals. The prices are reasonable for many of the restaurants and are not too far-fetched for an average student’s budget. Overall, the restaurants are convenient, which comes in handy when students are tired of eating the same on-campus menu items.

Dining

Off campus dining is good for us i would say we have a checkers right by our on campus apratments, and financial aid offices. Checkers is actually cheap you can get two different things for 4 dollars. And the drinks only cost maybe a dollar and some change.

Off Campus Dining

The restaurants closest to campus are fast food places such as McDonalds, Wendy's, Burger King, Taco Bell and Captain D's. Hungry Howies pizza place was just built. Prices are average. The V2 which is the bus that transports students to their off campus housing, stops right in front of the McDonalds, allowing students to walk to the other surrounding facilities. I've often walked from my dorm to get something to eat. It's not a bad walk, especially if you have friends to come along.
