Buses Are Okay.

The public transportation is good and somewhat dependable. They are running most of the time but they are sometimes a few minutes late or early. And they also run all day: morning to night.

Night Life

At my school the nightlife is awesome. There are always things for us students to do in Tallahasse. From clubs to house parties nightlife is always exciting. Also it is shuttles that takes us students to and from clubs and parties.

Here at FAMU we have the best of the best. The best looking guys and the finest girls from what all the guys that visit here say. We have a lot of school spirit and we take great pride in our football games. As far as social life if you aren't in an organization you are basically a nobody. As far as the way we dress we are really laid back and as far as the modeling troupes they are the only people that take fashion over the top. And the relationships on campus are ok but if you are coming to the hill to find someone I wouldn't say that your going to find them right away unless you are blessed to meet your perfect match.

Daily Entertainment

On Florida A&M University campus there is always something to do. There is always something to get involved in. Most are advertised on "The Set", which is where the buses pick up to take you around campus. You can find things to do on the weekend from being free to $20. Our school organizations are always having a showcase you can go to just for $5. If the 18 and up students go to the club shuttles will always be provided. Some students are 21 years old and up so if they drink they can get back home safely. Students will never be bored on campus because there is always things to do.

Same Color Different Background

I attend Florida A&M University which is a HBCU (Historically Black College and University). Everyone at this university is the same but we are very different. We all come from different parts of the world. Just because you are black does not mean you have the same interest, background, or culture as other black students. Some black students are democrates and some are republicans. Some black students come from wealthy backgrounds and some students come from backgrounds where there parents have to work day and night to provide for their families. We can all be the same color but are going different ways in there life.

THE PARTIES!!!

There's really nothing to do in Tallahasse accept for clubs and a whole bunch of parties.. Once in a while there's the mall but even that gets old.

OMG the Facilities

The library is beautiful and the gym is great. But the cafe could be made a lot bigger.

HBCU

Our school is an HBCU, a historically black college.

Parking Bugs

Parking should be self explanatory because the different kind of parking lots are color coded and very visible for employees, students, and on campus residents. If you violate the parking areas you will get a ticket for about $25.00

Cropper Hall 125

Living on campus is not as bad as people make it. The RA's are great and you get to meet so many different people and it makes it easy to get to class on time.

One Ocean, Many Fish

FAMU is the type of school that I have always wanted to go to for the simple fact that it's and HBCU. but even with that fact there are so many different types of people that go here. All races, nationalities, and different religious backgrounds. Its like a melting pot.I love it because even though we are different, we can still unify ourselves.

Get Around

Florida A&M has a bus system that is free of charge with your school identification card. Aside from car pooling with a friend, the school buses are your only option.

Internship

I attend FAMU school of Business, I can be expected to get an internship about my sophomore year in college. The Business program is the best and they have many success stories and I can't wait to be apart of the next one.

Nightlife

FAMU is known for being the party school, there is always something going on. Im a 17 year old freshman and I have a ball when it comes to nightlife you just have to know when and when not to go out. There are great places and they always have specials for students.

Caring Faculty

The faculty works with the students to maximize their success.

Very Diverse

FAMU is an excellent law school and has a population that is reflective of the world.

The Social Spot

If you want to meet new people and be apart of the social life, there is spot on campus that we call "the set". It is the place to be.

The Divine Nine

The Greek Life on Florida A&M University's campus is something that is always being displayed. None of the Greeks are ever too shy to walk around campus sporting their particular paraphernalia. All of the Greeks are generally liked by the rest of the student body. Everyone gets along unless there are some other underlying issues, it is never related to the organization.

Detailed Academic Curriculum

The pharmacy program curriculum is rather intriguing as well as challenging which makes for a greater interest in the topics discussed. Our professors are easy to reach outside of classroom time to assist with work. They are understanding of our workload, but at the same time expect a lot of us as students.

Schoollife

I love everything about Florida A&M University!!!

Computers

the computers are very up to date and easy to use. there is no need to have a personal computer or printer because the libraries are full of computers

Safety

Although it is an open campus, the school provides some safety services. The campus has several emergency poles and closes at a reasonable time. Those who stay on campus must be inside there dorms at certain times. I do think they should at least have security walking around, but there have not been any incidents since I been here. I don't feel unsafe in any way shape or form.

Best HBCU

So far my college experience is great. The people are fun to hang out with and you'll always find someone who is just like you. You can find help whenever you need it from students and staff.

Campus Facilities

There is a pros and cons to living on campus. The pros being you get to make friends, and it is easier for you to get to class. The cons being the housing over here isnt that great. If you absolutely must live on campus I suggest staying in an on campus apartment they aren't amazing but they are way better than the dorms. If you are a boy you should stay in Sampson or Young because they were just recently renovated and are practically brand new. We don't have any chain restaurants on campus like other schools do except for pizza hut and kfc in the food court. Our gym however is actually pretty nice.

White Girl in African American School

Florida A&M is primarily an African American campus. I am a white female and my first couple times on campus I was not sure what to expect, however everyone was very nice and welcoming regardless of my race.
