If you want to get around campus or areas near the University, the campus shuttle will get you where you need to go. A one-time transportation fee is charged to each student’s Rattler account and allows them to ride the shuttle for free throughout the year.

The transportation is good, we have two ratter buses that take us wherre we need to go. We have the V1 which basically takes us around the campus. It will pick you up wherever the bus stop is at on campus for example the set, the cafe, palmetto apartments. the second bus is named the V2 which that one goes off campus. It will go and stop on the set and to the palmettos apartments on campus and then it will go to what i call the famu off campus apartments. And the first bus stops at 4:30pm and the second one stops at 10:00pm.

Buses Are Okay.

The public transportation is good and somewhat dependable. They are running most of the time but they are sometimes a few minutes late or early. And they also run all day: morning to night.

Whenever you need to go somewhere such as the club or church, there will ALWAYS be shuttles provided that you can catch for free. If you want to go somewhere off campus, the city bus, starmetro can be used to get to the location you choose. In order to use starmetro, you should look up the route to know which bus to get on, if you have your Rattler Card, riding this bus is free.
