Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Although the city of Boca Raton is rather wealthy, finding an off-campus apartment for a reasonable price is not as difficult as one would assume. There are locations two minutes from campus and locations 20 minutes from campus, and both prove convenient to Interstate 95, which sits just a mile away from campus. In renting a room off campus, students will have the added amenities of a kitchen, a single bedroom, a private bathroom, and possibly a pool and workout facilities.

The University Village Apartments, however, offer single bedrooms and kitchens, as well, so if money is not something to throw around, a student can find some of the same amenities right on campus and will avoid the daily commute.

Expensive

Boca Raton is a very rich community. Housing anywhere is expensive, especially due to proximity to the beach

Ups and Downs

I am going into my sophomore year and will be living on campus for my second year so I do not know a lot about off-campus housing. The school does not have an official off-campus housing option but there are apartments around the area you can choose from. However, Boca Raton property are notoriously expensive, making hard to find affordable properties. Therefore, most students get apartments in other cities in the area where they are cheaper but not always in the best areas.

The Off campus housinng try to compromise with students. The landlords also understand that working and going to school is alot for and average student to handle. The apartments are a little pricey but its worth it because of the parking and how safe the ampartment cummunity is. The distance between FAU campus and off campus housing is great. Students are never that far away.
