Students have the Gulf Coast Town Center and the Miromar Outlets very close to campus, which offer a variety of stores and restaurants. However, other than these places, there's not much to do off campus. Eating and shopping are the main attractions, but not everyone enjoys this all of the time.

Pleasant Place

Very clean environment and generally pleasant people. Even though many people aren't as nice as you'd hope them to be, it is still a very nice place to be in.

FGCU Local Atmosphere

The atmosphere around FGCU is actually pretty ideal. The campus itself is very eco-friendly and green. We have many paths, lakes, and trails. Surrounding the area we have busy malls full of restaurants, shopping, bars, and movie theaters. We have on campus housing and off campus housing that are pretty popular hotspots. We are close to the beaches (within 20 minutes if that) and have a pretty decent transit system for those without cars.
