Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The off-campus housing options are readily available. There are a lot of different options, including apartments, houses, and condos. Availability is great, but locations are scattered. The most popular off-campus place would have to be Coastal Village, which seems like a nice place to live, as it gets really great reviews from FGCU students.

The housing costs per student range from $435 a month all the way to $800 a month. It all depends on what you are looking for, how far you want to live from campus, and how much you can afford. All of the options are very nice, as Fort Myers is generally a nice area in which to live.

Danger Zone

Some off campus housing is really nice but other options are really bad, like the Costal apartments and the houses in San Carlos. Tons of of drugs there. But they're cheap and close to campus.

My Own Room

I love my sleeping quarters off campus. I share an apartment with four other roommates and really enjoy their company. When one roommate is busy, another is free to enjoy the day with. Safety is important. My quarters outside are well lit and there is security, in case of any problems. Transportation to school is easy as there are buses that run frequently thru-out the day. I never see the landlord, as my mother just mails in my rent monthly. Cost for my apartment is reasonable and availability is never a problem. I don't have a car here, so parking is never a problem. I would say that I was meant to be here. My education is going well and I do not anticipate any problems. The shopping is conveinent and I just love all of my professors at school. Florida Gulfcoast University is the place to be!

Off Campus

The off campus housing that is available to students at Florida Gulf Coast University are reasonable when it comes to the cost. They are also not to far away from the campus making it easy to get to school. There are buses available to take you from the school to the housing without cost. The rooms in these apartments are bigger then the ones on campus.
