Individuality Is Key
This campus is growing and growing fast. There are many clubs and organizations on campus that help people express their individuality and pride in their heritage. Some clubs here are GSA (Gay Straight Alliance), LASO (Latin American Student Organization), BSA (Black Student Alliance), and many others. There is also a growing Greek life on campus. Many fraternities and sororities can be found on campus such as Kappa Kappa Psi, Zeta Tau Alpha, Sigma Chi, Chi Omega, Pi Kappa Alpha and Delta Delta Delta. All of these organizations have events open to the student body. Now all of these events are fun but if you want to relax you can take a trip down to the Waterfront where you can tan, sail, kayak, etc., all for free. Housing is located on a lake shared by the neighboring housing development.
FGCU is known for its science department. The environmental science program is very strong. There are many research opportunities for students interested in the sciences.
