Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Transportation at FGCU is very easy and free. The shuttles are a great start, but there could be more. There is a little trouble during busy times and having to wait for buses, particularly around 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. when a lot of people have class. Students should leave an hour to 30 minutes before they need to be on campus to avoid being late for class.

More off-campus options would be great. The Gulf Coast Town Center shuttle mostly runs on the weekends; it would be a great break in the day for students if they could go during the week in between classes!

Small Campus, but Slow Shuttles

The school offers a shuttle service on campus, but is sometimes a bit laggy. Walking on campus is your best option, and if you live on campus, look into getting a bike or longboard

Buses

Buses and public transportation on campus are pretty good. There are very few that run. They are good about being on the 15 minute intervals that they're supposed to run on. The buses run from 7am-9pm and nothing sooner or later. If you miss the bus after this you would have to walk in the rain or the dark which is inconvenient if you have a late class.
