    Coldest Winters

Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Be ready for warm weather when considering Florida Southern College. You can expect typical Florida weather from about May to October. This includes warm mornings that turn into hot temperatures around mid-day, then rain in the afternoon to cool things down. Don't worry, though! The rain lasts for maybe an hour at the most. Then, there are clear skies for a moderately warm night. Because of all the rain, expect very humid summer days.

The temperatures start to drop around October, but there is the chance that it won't get cold until December. During the winter, the weather is chilly, but not nearly as cold as other parts of the United States. Don't expect any chance of snow, but there are the occasional dips into the 20s at night. Starting in June and ending in November, hurricane season does have the possibility of affecting Florida Southern College. Depending on the strength of the storm, the weather can range from days of light rainfall and clouds to heavy rainfall and high velocity winds. There are not very noticeable weather changes from season to season generally in Florida. However, the further north you are, the colder the winters. Similarly, the further south you are, the warmer the summers.
