EINSTEIN AND STARBUCKS ARE OVERPRICED. THERE ISN'T MUCH VARIETY. POLLO TROPICAL IS GREAT PRICE AND TASTE-WISE.

The gym and libraires are new, welcoming, and comfortable. Activities are too Greek-life based. There should be more computers and microwaves for comuters.

The student aid process is very easy. Everything is done with simple applications online. It is a quick and smooth process.

Greeklife is huge on campus. Greek housing is available by all chapters to its members. Greek life is a big part of the college experience, i recommend at least trying it to everyone, but there is not hostility between greeks and non-greeks.

Tallahassee gives a true college experience. It is filled with students, and the atmosphere is amazing. There is always something fun to do.

Gaze Your Sight at the Capital – The restaurants are scattered throughout the city, and they're all phenomenal and amazingly cheap. There are different varieties to choose from and which ever you'll pick, I guarantee that you'll be satisfy. Visit the bars and clubs in midtown and downtown, lots of restaurants in a single fine line waiting to serve you. I recommend club mint, aj's sport bar, and the strozier.

Seminoles Are Very Welcoming – Although Florida State wasn't my first choice, I am glad I decided to go here. The students and staff are very friendly and welcoming. There is still time to party, but you have to keep studying and do well in classes. At Florida State, you are rewarded for hard work and perseverance.

General Campus Aesthetics – We have a very beautiful campus with many different facilities for students' use. There are two gyms and numerous playing fields at Florida State, and everything on campus is free with a student ID. The student union is a centrally located place for students to hang out, and it is filled with places to eat, a club, a bowling alley, and other fun things to do.

Everyone loves every sporting event and there is a lot of school spirit

Apartments/Old Houses – Very nice apartments to very cheap ones. Also a lot of old homes and on campus living

I rarely used the dining halls on campus. They were not in a convenient location for me, plus I didn't have a meal plan and they were quite pricey without one. I would love to see a Subway on campus, but as of this year, there isn't one there.

Giving free parking permits to every student, student parking is definitely taken advantage of at FSU. There is a good amount of spots, but the easiest ones to find spots in are a little harder to locate for they are gravel lots behind areas of campus. There are a lot of places you cannot park, like teacher parking. I know from experience, DO NOT PARK IN THE RED LINES. Because you will get a 20$ parking ticket. From 7:30am-5pm on weekdays, stay inside the white lines of student parking, and you should be fine. And to the level of necessity of a car on campus, its not necessary for your friends will have one, and a lot of places are within walking distance.

Available, Not Overbearing – If you want to find drugs or alcohol, there's a good chance you will be able to find it if you make a few calls or ask a friend of a friend. Marijuana is the most common drug along with alcohol, of course. Other drugs are there, but it just depends on what scene you hang around with. But even with the easy access, FSU students are not known for peer pressuring and let others choose what they want to participate in.

Perfect College Town – With 3 colleges in a 5 mile radius, Tallahassee definitely lives up to its name as a great college town. A lot of the spots around town cater to students wants and needs and there's always something going on to suit anyone's interests. The nightlife scene never disappoints young coeds, being that FSU is recognized as a top party school. Let's just say I've never met someone whose been to Tallahassee and left disappointed.

When the sun comes out, it shines, but not in that sticky, humid way. It's more of a warm sun-kissed feeling that doesn't leave you feeling like you just ran a marathon. The cold is pretty chilly, but it's wonderful!

There's Always Something to Do! Whether it be a house party or clubbing at The Strip or heading to downtown, there is always something going on every night of the week to keep you from those midnight blues.

Health & Safety:
I have grown up wanting to go there, going to many football games, and it is just my dream school.

Libraries Help a Lot – The libraries on campus do a great deal to help with my school work. I don't have a printer in my apartment so I go to the library all the time. There are plenty of high speed computers to access and plenty of printers. The only time the library is crowded is during finals week.

Getting to Know My Professors – As an accounting major, there are tons of business and accounting type classes that I need to take. I've taken a good share of them and each one I have got to know each professor personally. Getting to know my professors on a personal level will benefit me in a number of ways. I will be able to relate to them if I have a problem because I am closer to them than the other students. Also, by getting to know them, I will have a better chance of learning from what they have done in their careers to help me out with my future endeavors.

Buses, Go for the Buses!! The bus system is AWESOME just because the parking is so horrendous, on a normal day if you don't arrive at 7 am, you won't find a spot for two hours unless the parking gods have mercy on you. And seriously, the buses may be late, but they are a lot more reliable than gambling with the parking garages. The city buses are free to students too, so just do the bus. ESPECIALLY if you're a freshman..

Guys & Girls:
Walking around campus, there are three types of girls : the ones that don't care what they look like because they are too busy studying, the divas, and the sorority chicks. For the guys, you're either frat-tastic or a regular guy.

Plenty of a Mix – It really depends on your major, but walking around campus I would say that it's pretty much split evenly. There are also several different fraternities/sororities catering to different ethnicities.

Parking is a good reason to live on campus. If you live on campus, you need to either get to campus before 8am or plan to spend an hour looking for parking. At least once in your college career, you WILL park illegally out of frustration to get to class on time.

Quite a Range – Some community style dorms, such as Kellum and Smith, are very small and the amenities are minimal.. but these options are also very affordable. Suite-style dorms like Landis are very nice- plenty of space and privacy and lovely buildings. Non-traditional housing is also available, like apartments at Ragans or townhomes at McCollum.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
