Not So Bad – Alcohol and marijuana are the most widely used drugs at Florida State. I have yet to see any one use any sort of hard drugs like ecstasy, heroin, or crack around me even though I am sure they are being used. Some students have experimented with cocaine but for the most part, people stick to marijuana and alcohol on the weekends.

Florida State is known for the amount of parties that go on every day of the week. There are a plethora of clubs to choose from, and every day of the week, there is a club that has a larger crowd than others. For example, there is a pub called Potbelly's that is very popular for FSU students because it is located relatively close to campus and they have drinks for a reasonable price. However, for those that do not have the expenses to go out to the club that often, there are usually parties thrown weekly by sororities and fraternities that are usually free. Another plus is that FSU has a bus system that runs from 9PM to 3AM that hits almost all of the popular places that are frequently visited by us college students. This service is completely free and was put into place to prevent students from getting behind the wheel while they are intoxicated. Just previously implemented, there is a taxi service, funded by FSU's SGA, that will pick up passengers and take them anywhere in Tallahassee for a small fee of $5.

School Spirit – Everyone goes to the home football games. I haven't been to many others but you can hear how many people are there if you walk by. Everyone on campus is always wearing their Florida State apparel. I'm in the Marching Chiefs and we always go do stuff like pep rallies which are so much better in college!

Registration is very simple. Each major has an academic map that is available online if you can't meet with your advisor. Your advisor will tell you what classes you need to take to graduate and also suggest optional courses that can enhance your degree. Registration opens at different times according to how many credits you have. The system has never given me a problem.

There are several computer labs located around campus, a short distance from most dorms on campus. Some are available for specific majors only which makes it easier to get in. The libraries also have computers and printers where you can print things for cheap.

The experience here is amazing if you make it. Everything is so fun and exciting, but you REALLY need to keep your head above water in your classes. Some are very, very tough.

Hard to Get Good Housing – Unless you have a great priority number, don't expect a great setup. All roommates I have had have been dreadful. The dorms are overpriced a LOT and meal plans are required for most. You definitely get more for your money off campus.

Everything about the computers in the labs and libraries are great...expect for the fact that most of them are taken most of the time.

FSU gives you an opportunity to apply for FAFSA when you enroll into the university. They let you know when there are scholarships available.

Social Life – The social life surrounded by FSU is great. They are very close to campus and dorms so they are very convenient. There are a lot of bars that are close to campus to entertain students.

Strozier Library is where everyone goes to study at Florida State. During finals week, there are so many people there. Although it can be hard to find a seat to study, there are always seats available for students. At Strozier, you can check out laptops and head phones for students who may have forgot their computer or just do not have one. If Strozier had showers and anything for students to sleep on, then students would probably sleep there. The gym at FSU is very nice as well. There are plenty of equipments available and it was one of my favorite places to work out.

Financial Aid is a joke here... the representatives are rude and very unhelpful.

Child Development – The teachers are not understanding to those students who actually have families, despite that is what they are teaching about.

A Beautiful Life – This campus is beautiful and there are many awesome opportunities for students here. The gym facilities are amazing and include personal training, sauna/steam rooms, and a huge pool. The academics are strenuous but worth it and the social life is fun.

Active but Not Dominant – The Greek life at Florida State University is a flurry of activity. The focus and strength of this community lies in it's female members who are very active in the community and speak out for their causes.

A Good Mix – There are mostly white students, but there is a very active Black Student Union. The campus is mostly very accepting, even encouraging to the LGBT community. There is a very strong and active P.R.I.D.E. student union.

The location of most the apartments are in walking distance to campus. If it is not, then there are the school buses that are available. The prices can be a little too pricey, but you just have to find the apartment that fits your budget. Parking is usually good for apartment dwellers, however, on-campus parking is a totally different story! Safety is average...

Set to Starve – There isn't any on-campus dining for the Panama City campus of FSU. The only real option is going to the bookstore to grab a snack. They just added a new small cafe to the Holley Building. Their food is OK, but it would be nice to have more variety.

Small Town College – Florida State University's Panama City campus is set on the Gulf of Mexico in a city more orientated toward older people. There's not much to do, but the people there are always friendly.

All Aboard the Trolley – The only actuall public transportation in Panama City is the Trolley and it is kind of a stop and go service. It runs once and hour, but I wouldn't hang my hat on it. It's best to bring your own transportation to school.

Public Access for All – The FSU-Panama City campus has recently added a new building with more parking spaces for all its students. Each lot has easy access to it and guaranteed safety due to the frequent patrol of Campus Police. Plus, if you don't have a space Gulf Coast Community College's lot is directly across the street.

Health & Safety:
Campus S.W.A.T – FSU Panama City is a small campus so it gets the ultimate campus protection. Campus Police guard both, FSU-PC and Gulf Coast Community College, patrolling the two campuses perimeter every hour and checking for student decals and making sure no harm falls the students.
