Beautiful Campus With Excelent Academics – Florida State University has one of the most beautiful campuses I have ever seen. Even after a little more than a year, i still am amazed by the scenery walking to class. The school spirit is alive and well, especially during game days. Even with this the academics are extremely good. All of my Prof's really seem to enjoy what they are doing and really want the students to learn the material rather than just make the grade.

Diversity at Florida State is pretty apparent. Over half of the student body is female with races ranging from all corners of the world. There is also a great feeling of acceptance in clubs, organizations and societies.

Health & Safety:
Students receive text alerts to the cell phones when there is an incident that could affect the students. Campus police are visible all around campus as well as emergency poles placed very conveniently. and the campus is well lit at night.

Parking permits are free but I truely believe Freshman should not be allowed to bring cars to school OR if you live in a dorm you should not be able to bring a car. All of our parking is mostly cars students living in dorms cars just sitting in parking lots while those off campus (in no way can a large percentage of people live on campus). Many have to leave 45 minutes before class to find a spot even if you do find a spot it may be across campus from where you need to be. I personally need a car because I live off campus. There are meatered spots which I beleive is COMPLETELY unnecessary. Every spot should be a student FREE spot, unless it is a teachers spot

Student involvement doesn't get any better, team performance goes up and down but we are on our upstide. School Spirit is un believeably great. If it's possible there are too many fans.

It's very rare to find a student discount and most good restaraunts are a bit too far away that it's just to far while I'm so busy. I really love eating at Mr. Roboto, and I wish Logans Roadhouse and Olive Garden were closer, and good drink specials considering this is a college town

Hot, Hot, Hot! The weather at FSU is intense. We are talking about 300% humidity intense! The hot days are hotter than anything in all of Florida, and the cold days are the coldest in all of Florida as well. Seriously, the weather is always at one of the extremes.

Plan Yourself an Extra Hour – FSU parking is not for the weak and definitely not for those of the impatient variety. Plan an extra hour of hunting for that perfect spot and hope it's anywhere near the place you need to be at.

The student union is full of whatever food you could possibly desire during your studious days. There's everything from Starbucks to an Einstein's Bagel shop. If I want sushi or Japanese, I head straight to Miso's for the best food straight from the land of the rising sun. Once all that food is in my gut, I know the Leach Center gym is ready for me to get right back into shape. The entire FSU campus is perfectly molded around it's students.

I Like My Car – There is plenty of transportation available but I have never utilized them.

Say No to Drugs – To my knowledge, drugs are not a huge problem at Florida State University. I see more drinking than drugs.

I have never lived in the dorms at FSU but I have stayed in one for a soccer camp. It was a newer dorm but I prefer apartments.

Well obviously undeage drinking is not tolerated in the dorms or at school activities. Safety is a big thing in campus and is very comforting to see. Grades are important but most people can balance a social life and academics. Attendance if you are an athlete is important for classes.

the off campus housig is prevelant in Tallahssee. There are plenty of places to live with three college campuses in town. They are pretty affordable, most landlords are great, usually aren't allowed pets, usually transportation available, parking can be an issue, safety is usually good as long as you are in the right complexes and area of town. Most are very close to campus which is a plus

Mr. Roboto – The food is excellcent. Between sushi, hibachi, or other asian staple foods you can't go wrong. It is close to campus, affordable, quick, great atmosphere, and really ood food. Plus you can buy some of their sauces to take home and merchandise is available for purchase

True Seminoles Fanatics – students, faculty, staff and even regular citizens are very proud of the team. Everybody somehow represents the school spirit; shirts, bags, tags anything.

Health & Safety:
Safe Environment – Dont know of any safety issue on campus. It actually feels safe and peaceful. I personally dont feel threaten and feel safe to walk anywhere at anytime.

FSU has a huge diversity of people. I think there is a good mix of all races at FSU. Walking around campus you see many different races including Caucasian, Hispanic people, African Americans and Asians. There are also many different types of religions and there are many different places to worship all over Tallahassee.

There are two dining halls on campus, both of which serve pretty good food. Mainly freshman eat at the dining halls because they generally live on campus. There are also more popular places to eat on campus, like a Quiznos, Einstein Brothers, Starbucks, and a Denny's that is open late. There are also on campus convenience stores where you can buy snacks and drinks.

There is so much to do in Tallahassee. There are options for both college students and for the population of people that are from Tallahassee. There are lots of hip, student affordable restaurants, movie theaters, a mall, and nightlife for college students to experience. Football games are a must, and Greek Life is also big at FSU.

While everyone likes to have a good time and spend as much time in the beautiful Florida sun as possible, FSU's academics are wonderful. Most majors are highly competitive.
As a FSU student, there are so many clubs and activities to choose from. If, for whatever reason, there is not a group that you are interested in, you can always grab a few friends and start a new club.
If you have free time with nothing else to do, you can always go to the gym to workout, grab a smoothie, or go to the suana, and go to the SLC to watch a movie (both free with student id).

Go Noles! I love Florida State so far. There is plenty to do. If you are ever bored, then you aren't looking in the right places. Parking on campus is horrible. The only real upside I found in living on campus last year was that you didn't have to find parking on campus because everything is within walking distance. Some of the dorms are nicer than others, but the older ones can be somewhat disgusting. The campus itself is beautiful. There is so much to do. Athletic events are free for students, which helps save money. If I could go back to choosing colleges, I would undoubtedly pick FSU again.

What the People Wasting Time on Campus Do – The computers are pretty nice, but they fill up quickly. For most printing on campus, you will be charged. Wireless can be difficult to connect to at times. You could probably get by without a personal printer, but I would not take the risk of not having a personal computer because you will need to be able to access Blackboard and your email almost everyday (if not daily).

The Strip – In Tallahasse, there are many clubs in the nightlife scene. It is called The Strip. Comprised of 4 or 5 clubs and pubs, this is the happening spot for the 21 and older crowd. Many students will go Thursday through Saturday for a good time with their friends.

Guys & Girls:
Lots of girls and guys at Florida State are involved in Greeklife. The sorority girls are easily spotted by the way the dress or the way they talk. The same goes with frat guys; they can be spotted on campus with all of their brothers and all dressing alike.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
