You Can Always Get There – They provide buses that go around campus, up til 1 am. They even have another bus service that picks up students who have been partying and drinking and can bring you back to campus safely. There is also a few other buses that give discount student rates to go to central and south florida for those who want to go home for the weekend or holidays.

Health & Safety:
Campus crime is not very serious, except for the occassional bike theif and local speeder. Campus is huge so theres usually always people around, as well as campus police on patrol. At night the campus is lit with street lights but some areas can be pretty dark. Campus provides call boxes but no real instructions on how to use them. Since this is an open campus locals are free to roam around, and so everyone cant be believed to be a student. This in itself can possess safety issues so traveling in groups at night is reccomended.

Mostly Perfect – I love the weather here because its mostly sunny besides the occasional thunder storms during hurricane season, but the winter is cold but not freezing and springtime is my favorite here.

There are so many students and parking is a pain to find and you mostly have to find someone leaving in order to find a spot. If you get there early or really late you wont have much of a problem but in the afternoon its bad. There are lots located throughout the campus and permits are free.

Living Off-Campus – There are so many options to choose from apartments and houses located near the campus, and the cost depends on proximity to campus and size.I found a house just by driving around looking for places to rent.

I Love It! I love FSU, it's a really great place to be! We're the only school with a joint college of engineering that we share with FAMU, a historically black college in the area, so it's really diverse.

The transportation is pretty good. The school has a bus system that goes around campus and off campus as well, so even if you live off campus you can catch the university transportation instead of public transportation. The campus is fairly big but it's possible to walk anywhere if one enjoys walking. There are also public transportation stops on the outskirts of the campus to go further into Tallahassee. There's a lot around campus within walking distance though.

Generally speaking the facilities are pretty amazing. The Leach gym offers a ton of classes, I take the yoga classes and they are amazing. We also have the rez, which absolutely fantastic. It's reservation on a lake, they offer a ton of stuff including sailing (including lessons), kayaking, canoeing, hiking, and ropes courses. The campus is really nice, everything is brick and it looks like a very classic college setting especially around Landis Green. The student union has some interesting and random activities. Every Wednesday there is a market but they also have the bowling alley and the art center.

amazing experience, beautiful campus, just make sure to get a high priority number so you get a decent dorm, some are very trashy

Very Nice – During the spring and beginning of Fall semesters the weather is beautiful, there is rarely a drop of rain and the sky is always clear.

Strict Enforcements – The campus has strict enforcement of laws and policies. Underage drinking and drug use is not tolerated at the campus, and the campus police have enough of a presence to enforce the rules.

Good Food, Kind of Repetitive. The food is good at the two selections of dinning halls at Florida State University. The only problem is that the food choices are repetitive, that is there isn't much variation from one week to the next on the food choices. After my Freshman year I decided not to buy a meal plan for this reason.

Florida State University is unique in many ways. One of the most unique is that the University resides in the state's capitol. The campus is beautiful. Most buildings are made out of brick. Even the recently built buildings. It is a awesome location for a school!

The Greek life on campus is the epicenter of everything! From clubs to sports. Greek is involved in everything. Greek life is open to everyone and there are social and professional Greek organizations. There is a Greek club for just about anyone and everyone.

I love Florida State University! It has great nightlife atmosphere! There are always parties going on and the clubs are awesome. I love Tallahassee! Though to some people it seems dangerous because it is the capitol, but once you live there for a while it all grows on you and you can't help but go out at night and LIVE IT UP!

Health & Safety:
Really Safe – There are many different police post located all over the campus and if anything ever goes wrong you just push the button and the lights will flash and police will be alerted. Its safe there and you'll feel safe too.

So Cool – The town has many different parts. There is always something there for students to do. Especially at night. The Strip is where most students go at night. Its really close to the FSU campus and A lot of people enjoy it. They have everything you can look for in a city. There's always something you can do there. Its awesome.

Drugs are the same as on any other campus. Most of the students drink. If you know someone you can get weed but that's about it. The campus is really harsh if they catch anyone with drugs though.

They Have a Theater – Florida State has an on campus movie theater where students can watch new and classic movies for free. It has it's own website so we can check on what's playing on any given night, and it has a concession stand. It has everything a theater should and it's staffed by students as a way to provide more jobs.

Our football team isn't the greatest, but we sure do have the fans to support them! Game days in Tallahassee are always a treat, and even families and friends who don't attend the university come out and enjoy the spirit of the game! The whole town turns into one big fiasco and fun for everyone of all ages! From our uprising baseball team to the cheerleaders, sports and performance are always top notch here at FSU and always put the town in a good mood!

Diversity on campus is great! There are so many different types of people, and that alone teaches new and old students to engage in meeting new friends of all types. Many events are organized by many different types of people, leading to a successful and interesting event. Also there are many groups and organizations dedicated to the acceptance of all races throughout the college community. From being an Bisexual Asian girl to an Islamic American, there will definitely always be a place for you to mingle and make friends!

I love off-campus housing! Finding an apartment or even a house to rent is super easy! With help from SHS (Student Housing Solutions) you can tell them exactly what you're looking for and they can find it almost immediately. The amenities like free food and pool parties are always a plus, along with the option to pick your roomates or live with randoms. Many apartments are close to campus, if not near a bus stop. Also most apartment leases are separate amongst your room mates, therefore you're not held liable if your roomies dont pay up!
Sorry, there are no reviews.
