The summer can sometimes be very warm and humid

I love all of my classes and I have gotten something out of all of the classes that I have taken so far. None of my classes have seemed like a waste of time, nor have they seemed like useless information. I have enjoyed and learned from all.

There are many organizations promoting many diverse groups. If you look hard enough, there is a group for everyone.

Living on Campus is very convenient since it is nearly impossible to find good parking spots right before class. It is also easy to make friends through the dorms. Your relationship with your roommate is everything. If you do not like your roommate, be sure to change rooms. If you don't, then you are likely to think of your dorm in a more negative light. It's not perfect, but it is a lot more convenient than other living situations.

Guys & Girls:
you kind find all sorts of people but for the most part everyone is pretty attractive

there's never any parking unless you come extremely early

While there are multiple choices of complexes offered, within a multitude of price ranges, many of the buildings are poorly constructed with thin walls, or fixtures that are broken due to failure to replace them or installing them in a rush. It is hard to find a complex that is worth the money, or has a dependable, reliable maintenance system that responds to problems quickly and efficiently.

There are multiple stops on multiple routes that the Florida State Universities transportation services provides. Late at night, there are busses that run around campus and will deliver you to your destination safely and conveniently.

The diversity at FSU is great! Campus is full of people of all races, ethnic origin, and sexual orientation. For the most part, people feel very much like they belong.
College Junior 2013-10-21T19:55:08Z
Everything close to campus is a complete rip off. They take advantage of the fact that students want to live close by and charge ridiculous rates.

Tallahassee is very much a college town. As much as I love it, there isn't a lot to do outside of campus.

There are many natural parks, springs, and scenic and woodsy areas that the students visit from time to time. Numerous sports clubs and involvement groups allow students to meet people with similar interests. They even have a circus club, in which the students practice circus acts and develop a show for the whole student body to enjoy. The town is primarily a college town so locals are very diluted, but normally they will greet and smile when a student passes by.

There is always something to do close to campus, off campus, and on campus. There are many house parties for GDIs, frat parties for frat stars, and get togethers for the "in-betweeners." There is a strip of bars that is very popular amongst the student body and there are three clubs, in which one of them brings many famous electronic artists to DJ for very cheap. The primary transportation is walking, but taxis are cheap and affordable. ($4-$10 normally.)

There are a variety of choices ranging from private dorms to house to apartments and so on. The cost of the places close to campus is pretty steep and there is less parking, and the cost of the residencies moderately far from campus are fair, but it is definitely more convenient and safe to be around campus.

Guys & Girls:
Literally so many attractive guys. Mostly country boys or tan South Florida beach boys. So many are into fishing or hunting. Most of the girls are skinny and good looking. Pretty girls with Southern charm.

Theres always something to do for everyone... every night, not just weekends. The bars at the strip are 18+ to get in. Some of the other local bars are 21+. Theres always a house party going on somewhere close to campus. The fraternities are always fun also. If you're not into that scene theres other things to do like the on campus movie theater and so on. Concerts are frequent, typically EDM, country music, or hip hop. The night nole is a bus free to students that takes you basically anywhere off campus you need to go at night. Cabs are also everywhere and I think they're $4 if you show your FSU id.
College Freshman 2013-10-15T19:33:44Z
It depends on where you go and who you know. The bars are strict with IDing at the door and who gets drinks once inside. Theres usually a lot of security around but drinking underage isn't impossible... especially if you're a girl. The fraternities are... fraternities. Super easy to drink here... again if you're a girl, or in this case a pledge/brother. If you're not seeking drugs you probably won't see them.
College Freshman 2013-10-15T19:29:38Z
The priority number system sucks. FSU does rolling admission, so if you get in later, your housing priority number will be pretty bad and you'll most likely end up in the older, smaller dorms. However, I hear they're knocking these old buildings down and building new ones soon. All of the newer dorms are really nice and spacious. The upperclassmen dorms are nice but most people tend to move off campus.

Football is a major part of the FSU experience. Game days are insane fun and everyone participates!

The dining halls are great for the first month but then you begin to get sick and tired of the food. Food quality is alright where cafeteria standards are concerned.
College Sophomore 2013-10-15T18:14:50Z
Florida State University's campus is beautiful! the dorms are clean and well kept (mostly). The bad dorms are sally, smith, and kellum. The other available dorms are great!

Florida State University is a fairly good school, with diversity in very aspect. The professors vary; some are excellent and helpful and you actually learn but others do a poor job and leave you to your own means to pass the course.
College Sophomore 2013-10-14T03:44:12Z
FSU is like a melting pot of people from all over. It is easy to meet new and different people just by walking around campus or joining in on activities. Being from out of state, it's comforting for me to go to a school with such a diverse community.

Health & Safety:
The area surrounding the university is scary, I would not personally walk down Tennessee Street alone in the daytime or night.
