There is a big drug scene at FSU. Almost everyone you meet in Tallahassee could hook you up with drugs of any type. Alcohol is of course the number one drug of choice next to Marijuana and MDMA.

Accessibility and safety are offered at a good rate

The best method of transportation is taking campus buses. Although during class times they can sometimes get very full, there are always buses running so you have options. Public transportation (Star Metro) is also convenient for running to Publix or heading back to your apartment.

The honors dorms on campus and the new apartment, Traditions, are the best options because they are brand new. Most people I knew have had a positive experience unless they lived in the oldest dorms.

The qulaity is good for the most part but the hours of availibility for some dining locations aren't as much as I was expecting
College Sophomore 2013-07-28T21:05:08Z
Has plenty of buses and lots of nighttime pickup lines
College Junior 2013-07-28T18:14:02Z
The bus system is very convenient when going from class to class or if you're all the way across from campus, there is always a bus that comes around. Our buses even go off campus so if you happen to live off campus and there is a bus stop near you, then that's an even bigger plus! As far as parking goes, FSU has several student parking garages and many outdoor parking lots, so the problem isn't that you can't find a spot, it's more or less finding a spot that is closest to all your classes or the Union.

I personally did not get the meal plan, but I have gone in a few times with friends just to grab a bite. Plus, I lived in the dorms and had to buy my own food so I got tired of eating frozen meals almost every single day. The dining hall gave me a chance to have something that was close enough to "home cooked" food whenever I needed a break from restaurants or TV dinners. The only reason why i give it a B is due to the fact that if you don't come in at the right time, the food will be served cold and there may or may not be enough silverware to go around for everyone.

Guys & Girls:
Flrorida State University – The guys and girls at Florida State are both pretty amazing. There are some stuck up women and some ignorant guys but for the most part everyone is really down to earth and willing to help anyone else out. There is a huge variety in every program so a new freshman will sure be able to find their niche. Greek life is huge a Florida State there are a lot of sorority and fraternity you get used to it quickly.

Athletics at FSU is actually really big. But the good thing about FSU is that we don't only focus on our Football team. While our football team is important to us our other teams are as well. School spirit is huge at school too. Everyone loves the school and isn't afraid to show it. There are some people who chose not to show as much school spirit and that okay with everyone else.

Nightlife around Florida State is very accessible for everyone 18+. There are great bars to just shoot some pool and hang out while right next door there will be a bar where you can get jiggy with it. Once you turn 21, the options open up and bars seem appealing for their drink specials.

I am in love with the architecture of the campus. There is a classic, homey feeling whenever you walk anywhere. The newer buildings are doing their best to blend with the older ones. Strozier is beautiful and always a great place to study or relax. The Leach Center, despite the number of people, is fantastic as well. I have no problem going
anywhere on campus.

Fight to the finish... Often would pick up strangers and give them a ride to their car to steal their spot.

Health & Safety:
I have always felt safe on campus. The surrounding capitol can be a scarier place... Especially alone. Always safer in numbers. I didn't enjoy my late night classes and walking alone on campus either.

I have made friends in my pledge class that I still continue to keep in touch with. Greek life made meeting other people easy and fun. However after the two years I spent as a member, I was ready to focus more on school.

Here at Panama, the parking service isn't very good because of the quantity of parkings, but those few parkings are in a very good condition.

I use my car for transportation. Then again, I'm a Panamenian Student and I'm ranking the FSU at Panama City.

I personally live with my parents at their house because it's really near to the university. I also would like to say that I'm a Panamenian Student and I'm ranking the Florida State University at Panama City.

There are two main cafeteria style eating venues on campus located at opposite ends of the campus. They are decent but sometimes can feel very redundant in food options. There are a decent amount of other dining facilities located mostly on the east side. From breakfast (Einstein's) to lunch (Subway, Salad Creations, Papa Johns etc.) to dinner (Chili's, Denny's) there is some place to eat. The downside is that most places excluding Subway, Chili's and Denny's all close down around 5 and on the weekends which does limit. But the main road in front of the campus has nothing but one restaurant after another so there is no way to not find food somewhere.

I am a psychology major and I honestly love it. The classes are all held in the psychology department which is comprised of two buildings. The advisers are helpful but you have to be careful to remember that their job is only to advise you on the courses you need to take to stay on track. Don't be afraid to go in there with your classes already planned out and if you are majoring in another area such as pre-med they are great about working around your necessary classes for that. One downside is that there are a lot of us so signing up for classes can be a hassle and there will come times when you have to wait until the last minute to slide into a required class. However, most of the time if there is a class that is required they will either squeeze you in or open up a new section if the need is great enough. The workload is easy enough that you are required to either do a minor or another major but that is honestly not difficult.

Tallahassee is a college town through and through. Although it's the capital the majority of the inhabitants are from FSU, FAMU, TCC or one of the other specialty schools scattered throughout the city. Shopping is pretty decent we have two major malls and a bunch of other small stores scattered around. What is really cool is Railroad Square which showcases the artistic side of the city. On the first Friday of every month (dubbed First Friday) music, food and all the local artists come out and you get a really unique look at original, one of a kind pieces of art, jewelry and clothes that you won't find anywhere else.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
