Tallahassee is a college town through and through. Although it's the capital the majority of the inhabitants are from FSU, FAMU, TCC or one of the other specialty schools scattered throughout the city. Shopping is pretty decent we have two major malls and a bunch of other small stores scattered around. What is really cool is Railroad Square which showcases the artistic side of the city. On the first Friday of every month (dubbed First Friday) music, food and all the local artists come out and you get a really unique look at original, one of a kind pieces of art, jewelry and clothes that you won't find anywhere else.

FSU has a really good club/bar/party scene. There are decent clubs right off of campus and for those that are a little farther away there is a night bus that will drop you off and pick you up relatively near. House parties are common but can be difficult to get to depending on where they are located. No matter what scene you are into and no matter the age you are going to find a place to let loose.

Personally there wasn't as much financial aid as I would have hoped for those who just need a little extra something. For those who need financial support the financial aid process can go anywhere from being a walk in the park to being a complete nightmare. My advice is to keep on top of them when needed and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Housing is one of the biggest issues at FSU, it is over crowded.

The campus is pretty strict and takes security issues very serious.

Trasportation at Florida State University is subpar.

The dining halls are awful. It is cafeteria food and sometimes has its moments but you cannot really expect too much. The restaurants on campus aren't exactly great either but it's better than eating at the dining halls. If you don't have to get a meal plan I would recommend not getting one and cooking in your dorm, it saves a lot of money. Unless you just want to suck it up and eat bad food.

My major is biological sciences. I've been very satisfied with my advisors and all of the counsel they have given me. But it is because of the honors program that I really feel is giving me the most for my education. I am involved in research and have better networking because of the opportunities that honors has given me.

honors classes allow for better one on one teaching. The class sizes are small and every teacher I have had has cared if I passed or failed.

I've seen a lot of diversity nothing too extreme but a lot more diverse than my highschool.

There are bus routes all over campus. There are also bike racks everywhere. I drive and there is limited parking, not too bad.

There is a variety of off-campus housing options that are close to the campus. The prices vary but at least you will get your freedom.

School policies are strictly enforced to keep everyone safe. You can always find a police to help you or come to the rescue. If a policy is broken, the consequences will be enforced without an warning.

Guys & Girls:
FSU is like a home away from home. Everyone is friendly and are willing to help each other. There is always a party or event going on so you will never be bored. The guys are all cute in their own way but focus on their schoolwork most of time. You will see more guys at the library than at the gym. FSU also has the prettiest and smartest girls around, and they all love to party.

The campus is strict about certain thing but they aren't on other things. They are very strict about parking, they will give you tickets for everything but no so much on drinking. they are strict about noice only during exam week any other time usually the RA doesn't care and you can do whatever

The best place to relax and meet new people is on Landis. There are so many relaxing activities that happen on Landis. People come out and sit, study, dance, just have a good time with friends.

Hey, you're in Florida. For the most part it is sunny and warm. Some hot days. During hurricane season, expect it to rain when you least expect it.

Garage parking spaces fill up quickly. This happens all the time. Especially in garages near where you may live. Game day parking is very hectic. You can get around on the transit. You are paying for this service whether you use it or not.

Guys & Girls:
Mostly everyone is outgoing and into something that you're into as well. There is a huge crowd of different people because the school is so big but at times can seem very small.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
