There are a lot of choices for Greeks, but you don't have to be Greek to belong.

There are multiple opportunities for all students to participate at different levels in a wide variety of sports. These are supported financially by the university as well.

Everything in Tallahassee is surrounded by FSU as well as the college aged residents living there. There is a lot to do and never a boring moment!

Lots of stuff on campus, but off campus the activities are limited. Still, its not hard to find something to do

I imagine it would be nice, lots of food options and beautiful campus. Some dorms are like living in prison, but others can actually be pretty nice.

I love this school! It is so fun. There are a million things to do and being a part of FSU is an amazing experience. There is so much Seminole pride everywhere you go. In town we have the rez and a park or two, downtown, lots of resturaunts, bars, clubs, frats, sororities, mall, movies, and best of all football:) Definitely a fun place to be. Oh and it's very safe too. I have never felt unsafe here.

Health & Safety:
This campus is really safe. There are a million ways to contact the police department and it is well lit at night. They provide many services so students never have to feel unsafe such as SAFE, the bluelight system, and the night nole. I have never had to walk outside alone at night and feel completely safe walking around with friends.

There are a lot of places to park. However, the parking garages that are near the main academic buildings are always full so parking can be a hassel. It is much easier to walk everywhere. If you are driving you have to leave at least 30 mins before class starts to find a spot. I dont recommend it.

I haven't been enrolled at FSU in a decade, but their network was terrific when I was there, so I would expect that they have kept up with the times. I would definitely encourage a student to have his/her own computer.

Tallahassee is small city and does have some good restaurants, but it's not going to have the variety of large cities like Atlanta, Boston, NYC, Washington DC. Many of the restaurants do cater to students and are reasonably priced. I haven't lived in Tallahassee for 10 years, so things may have changed somewhat.

There are tons of stuff for students to do at night at FSU. We have tons of pubs and clubs here that usually let in 18+ a few 21+ locations as well. And if clubbing isn't really your scene like it isn't mine. I have greatly enjoyed the free movies offered at FSU's Student Life Center with our full size theater and well as nicely stocked gaming area.

Varsity sports are a big todo here at FSU. It is rare to not see a single tailgate or hear of a viewing party for the weekends game. It brings in tons of revenue to FSU and the local community too.

I think it is great that the campus has its own police station on campus. It makes the students that work and live on campus feel safer. Also they respond quickly. Personally I like the enforcement because it makes students that maybe heading down the wrong path with drinking or drugs for example to get a chance to see what they are doing is wrong and hopefully rectify it! The police roam all day and respond to emergency calls and notifications from our safety polls which light many dark paths around campus.

The bus system is great for under grad and graduate students that live off-campus and need a safe reliable way to get to campus. Also our IDs work as a city bus pass where we can ride the starmetro city buses free of charge, which gives students many options for entertainment and living location even if they don't have a car.

I feel that I have a strong line up of teachers this year, even being a freshman. I have two classes with 500 students in them and my teachers still attempt to make the classes as interesting as they are able to. My smaller two classes are very engaging. I don't want to miss class because I enjoy what I am learning so much.

The varsity football team at Florida State is pretty huge. They are the highlighted team throughout campus. Saturdays are arranged around the team and the games. It isn't easy to always get tickets due to the high demand of support the team gets from all of its students.

The weather at Florida State University is always outstanding even during the colder winter months. The only issue is during the rainy season when thunderstorms are prevalent. The campus is structured on a hill with a poor draining system so areas of the campus are prone to flash floods.

Recently there have been increase in the number of bus routes throughout the day, but there have been an increasing number of options for students at night including the Night Nole bus and cab programs that allow groups to enjoy the nightlife.

There is a huge variety of off-campus dining places. There are so many different ones so close to campus too. Anything you want is probably in walking distance and many of the places stay open later than in other areas. Depending where you go, the price is okay. There are a few that have student discounts but not many. If you like pizza, a favorite place of many to go is Momos, it's a good place to go to with parents or friends.

Just like you would expect in Florida, it gets very sunny. Many students like to lay out on those sunny days or play sports outside. It starts getting colder around November and you'll definitely want a jacket in December and January. Other than that it does rain often so rain boots are a must, especially with the hills on campus! Although, sometimes it will rain for only 15 minutes and that's it for the day.

The dining halls offer something different on their menu everyday with quite a few things to choose from so most of the time you are likely to find something you like. Besides the dining halls there are several other food places, such as Subway, Einsteins, Papa Johns, Polo Tropical, and more. As you can see, there is a wide variety, so chances are you will be able to find whatever you're in the mood to eat. The places to eat are mostly crowded around lunch time but besides that, you can expect the line to move pretty fast.

Health & Safety:
I have always felt pretty safe on FSU's campus, I know it is a big campus and things will happen, but I see the campus pd all around helping those who need it. Along with the blue light system they have setup to help you with whatever you need wherever you are I feel pretty safe.

There is a lot of diversity in the guys and girls at FSU. There are people from all walks of life and you become more open to other people cultures

Health & Safety:
The school is situated in an economically unstable area. Lots of homeless people and dangerous people live within walking distance of the campus. There are robberies and killings almost every week.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
