Size and Involvement – It is a good school academically, but there is not much career guidance/planning within some Departments. It is hard to meet people if you do not live on campus and if not in a sorority. I would not likely choose this school again but it is a good school.

Buses are good if you live in a student housing complex. Have to drive to get to class on time if you do not. Parking is terrible when there is a special event and the school does not seem concerned about students finding parking over event participants. Have to get to school 1-2 hours early to get parking. Parking is a stalk someone till they move event.

Health & Safety:
Personal Safety – Concerns about non-students coming on campus and robbery while walking to car late in day or at night. Some locations are conducive to crime with deserted walkways, parking away from buildings and a lack on security at night when classes get out.

Love It – I'm extremely happy at Florida State. As soon as I came to this campus, I fell in love. The social scene can be a tad overwhelming if you let it be but if you can find a good balance, Florida State can be wonderful.

Good Major but Needs to Be Paired With Something – I like this major but it doesn't have enough credits on its own to get you to the graduation requirement so I paired my major with a double in Geography and a Certificate in Urban and Regional Planning.

Busy but You Can Find One Somewhere – Computers are a hot item during the fall and spring semesters. Most students tend to go to the library (Strozier or Dirac mostly) but there are other places to find a computer to use. The union has a computer lab that is available during the week and I've never had a problem finding one. Printing can be done almost anywhere but you have to pay for it so having a personal printer at home might be a good idea.

Typical Florida Heat – Does not rain a lot, and it has that typical Florida heat on any given sunny day.

Inter-Mural Soccer – I played soccer with a team of friends this semester, it was a lot of fun. The fields were excellent and the referees were good to.

The dorms are great quality. I am living in in a clean hall but very poor location. It is on the edge of campus and there is a poor neighborhood behind me that can be dangerous at night. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly.

Urban, full of hills, brick buildings, old buildings, like maryland.

Florida State University offers free transportation using busses that have selected routes near and around campus for people living off campus which sounds convinient hoewever due to the over population the busses are either packed or usually running very late. not very reliable

The greek life at the Florida State University is very well-rounded. We have panhellenic and the interfraternity council for the sterotypical "white greeks". they are very involved on campus and involved socially. Our campus also has a multicultural greek council which are composed of latin and multicultural organizations that are mostly community serviced based and are involved with their own social activities

There are many different races and religions at Florida State University. My university also has a "multiculutral Greek council" full of multicultural and lintino and latina organizations and a "Black student union"

Health & Safety:
Totally Safe – I've never felt unsafe on campus, but that's not to say things don't happen occasionally. But there are emergency posts placed in the sketchier areas of the school to make one feel even safer.

The libraries at Florida State University are very resourceful and great working environments. There are multiple locations and I am at one at least once a day!

It is free but also a hassle. Not enough parking space.

the drug screen is interesting. They have alcohol sold on campus, I have never being use to it.

It is mellow and quite. People tend to do their own thing. You go with your own clicks.

Great Sports – Sports at FSU are a pretty big deal. Being a student, you get free tickets to football games, basketball games, and the majority of other sporting events. They are a major part of the ACC, and by attending you get to see it all happen right in front of you and be a part of the Seminole atmosphere.

Food Desert – People have described Tallahassee as a food desert. There are scattered seafood places, lots of Mexican, and some Creole chains. That's about it for variety. Of course there are plenty of fast food chains. These places are all affordable and a good time, but if you are looking for variation of cultural food choices, Tallahassee is not the place to go.

Health & Safety:
I feel mostly safe on campus. I have to walk to my car after class at night and never feel uneasy or have a problem. There is a strong Campus PD presence and the blue lights everywhere.

One day the temperature can be in the 80's and the next day it could be in the 40's or 50's. There are some times of the year when it rains a lot and the summers can be very hot and humid. But it doesn't know and there aren't many natural disasters that you have to worry about, only occasional tornado warnings.

Going Greek – Two of my roommates are in a sorority and they love it. It keeps you busy and there are always events to go to and a sense of connection with your sisters or brothers.

Seminole Spirit – Going to athletic events gives you such a sense of pride in your school. Games bring hundreds of students together and you feel connected to everyone around you. My favorite part of FSU are those moments during a home football game when the entire stadium is singing the war chant and doing the tomahawk chop. It's amazing.

USE YOUR UMBRELLA – The weather at Florida State is so bipolar. You could wake up and have to wear a parka for morning classes, have your umbrella for the downpour that comes out of no where, and then have to wear shorts and a tank top after because its humid and hot! The weather can be amazing, but it can switch in the blink of an eye.
