Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Most students will complain about on campus dining, but ironically, the restaurants and dining halls are usually busy. The loudest complaints are often from underclassmen who are still adjusting to not having a home-cooked meal every night. Upperclassmen will grumble about the food, because they eat it all the time. They’ll eat it, still, mostly out of convenience. Many of the establishments are open late, which is a plus for night owls and late-night revelers. The meal plans get mixed reviews. Students who are just looking for fuel to get through the day would probably do well with a meal plan due to a few buffet-style dining halls and all-you-can-eat options. For those who just grab a quick bite between classes or are interested in healthy dining, you would be better off venturing off campus or waiting for the next care package from home.

The food scene on campus has been steadily improving over the past several years, offering more choices and better quality than in the past. But still, it is cafeteria food and in no way can compare to the food your mom makes at home. You won’t starve, but you won’t be amazed, either. There are also several vendors who pop up on campus around lunch time who offer the obligatory hot dogs, chips, and soda, which can come in handy if you need a quick bite while hustling to your next class.

OK but Nothing Special

The food is edible-- they make some things really well and there is rarely a shortage of anything but its nothing youd necessarily want to go back for seconds for.

There Are Many Options, Most of Which Are Decent.

FSU has two main dining halls with many options. One can find pizza, sandwiches, wraps, pasta, dessert, etc at these two places. At the union, one can find a Chilis, Subway, and Pollo Tropical, as well as sushi, frozen yogurt, assorted salads, and crepes. There is something for everyone.

We Have a Variety of Campus Dining

The menu's get repetitive but they never taste horrible! The breakfast however is amazing! Flexbucks are used everywhere on campus, and in certain dorms, meal plans are not required. There are also kitchens in every residence hall, although I'm not sure you'd want to use them! In the food court, options are asian cuisine, Pollo Tropical, Papa Johns, and we're building a SubWay and possibly a Chick-Fil-A!
